I hate this game

because everytime I look up, I've lost three more hours of my life.

Galciv2 is a murderer. It murdered my sleep pattern, my desire to work, and has given me a caffeine addiction.

Not lost.. think of it as an investment

I had dreams about playing it last night.  I think I figured out a new strategy to try though!

Or lost. That shows starting to get irritating!

Thinking of all the games I've played that have robbed me of sleep. GalCiv2 probably ranks up there with one of the XCOM games.

I know what you all mean. I just, on my 3rd try, started to hold my own against the Dreadlords in Siege (Campaign lvl 4). And such that I can actually make forays out to skirmish! But I'm safest near my starbases and their assist modules...

Now to figure out how to kill the drengin. *ponders*

College student here, too, living out my Trek fantasies Very Slow Research style

I got a full night's sleep, though, because I need a fresh brain to think strategically and to name all my ships.

Oyyyy... I agree with this one... this game just sucks up hours like you wouldn't believe. But then, the first game was also quite addictive so I guess I'm not surprised.

In my case, I'm lucky (or rather, my health level is lucky) that since I had to install the game on my roommate's computer (my own computer is too wimpy) I have to take breaks to, you know, let him use his computer. And even now I'm itching to fire up the game again to see if I can fix the problems that let the AI kick my butt a couple times.

Kudos indeed, for designing such a perfect way to utterly obliterate time.

Peace & Luv, Liz
