Unable to command ally to attack.

I’ve been playing for a while with no Major bugs at all. It has been great fun! Another minor bug (at least I think it is a bug) that I have noticed is that once I have allied with a major race and I have opened up a dialog with them and clicked for them to "Attack", the list of races to attack is empty (I am at war with another major race). Also, I went to war after allying with them, but they did not follow into war with my enemy. Is this also a bug, or by design?

Thanks for the great work!

It's by design that allies won't just blindly follow you into wars you declare. They will normally help you against those who declare war on you, though.

Otherwise it would just be game-breaking. Get 2-3 allies, and then use your combined might and ability to force your allies into wars to destroy each other civilisation one at a time.

Following the "computer players can do whatever players can" policy, I don't think I'd want to find an alliange doing that to me, either!

Alliances are more like Mutal Defense Pacts. They'll only go to war if you're attacked.
