BUG: Software mouse pointer disapears after 10min of play

If I use software mouse, after about 10min the mouse pointer disappears. Both times it happened in some menus. First time in planet management, and second time in diplomacy menu. The pointer is not visible even when you exit the game, so I have to restart Windows to fix it. I did not have this problem in beta (though I did not play the game for 3 month). Hardware pointer does not have this problem...

I'm still having this problem, very, very annoying.

Tooltips don't work very well either.

happened to me once after having tabbed out of the game for about 3 hours. I came back, alt-tab back into game when to save my game to turn the computer off for the night and the cursor froze. I ended up rebooting. I ticked use hardware cursor and I havn't had the problem since.

Nvidia 7800GT PCIe

Just want to add myself to the list of people having this problem with a Geforce6600GT.

I play for about 5 minutes or so and all of a sudden the mouse is gone. Even after I exit the game the cursor is gone. The only way to fix it is reboot.

Any help is appreciated.

*I know the hardware mouse will fix it, I mean a fix for the software mouse issue*

@Stardock

Add me to the list of those with the cursor issue -- 6600GT pcix, Athlon64, 2g ram, xp home. Using the standard windows cursor (*with* drop shadow enabled). The dissapearing cursor is reproducible on my box pretty easily. I use the hardware cursor as a workaround, but if anyone at stardock wants to do some more extensive investigation, I'm more than willing to help you guys try find out what the problem is
