Repulsive "Wifely Expectations" pact emerges in Iowa kidnap case

FEBRUARY 17--This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there's Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document--a "Contract of Wifely Expectations"--that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey (pictured right) offered "Good Behavior Days," or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to "get out of doing the things" he requested daily. A copy of the proposed contract, which Frey's wife never signed and later provided to cops, can be found below. While we normally point out the highlights of most documents, there are so many in this demented, and very graphic, contract, we really can't do it justice. So set aside ten minutes--and prepare to be repulsed.

Given the moral lectures I've gotten around here lately, I guess this will seem reasonable. He's probably just a 'sadist' not bound by the conventions of the rest of society. I guess his problem is he didn't find someone complimentary to his views on life.

Me, I think it is sick and the guy needs the roles reversed for about an hour, during which 'all applications of lube' he can apply himself, or not. I personally think sadism is just an expression of weakness and insecurity, but what do I know. According to most around here I'm just childish, I'll just let the 'adults' do what they need to do to cut the mustard.

Well, after reading that contract, all I have to say is this. That was, by far, the best, almost perfectly detailed, and at the same time, most strangest and unnecesary contract I have even seen.

I can understand wanting specific things, and chances are there could be a woman who would go with such a contract. But making the contract itself and expexting someone to sign it is a bit to exagerated for me.

Heck I could go for some parts of the contract but not the GBD's. That's just not right. The way I see it, I would like my wife to do things for me but also for herself. Still this is the best thing I have read.

The thing is, I don't think most of his demands were all that bad. But some people (like me) prefer to be ASKED not TOLD what to do. My husband gets just about ANYTHING he wants when he ASKS.....but if he DEMANDS....Forget about it!

It's one thing to let him be the final say on familial matters, but another when he tries flexing his muscle just to show he can.

That's true...never thought of that.

That is one of the things I find hilarious about the "dominator" in the bedroom....ok, if the guy is uber aggressive and that way in life...well I can see him being take charge in the bedroom....but if he is a wimp in real life, a whiner, or someone whose wife could probably kick his butt....well that's when I start laughing.

I know we aren't "supposed" to go by how someone looks, but the pic of this guy just cracked me up. If I were EVER to let someone boss me around he'd have to at LEAST LOOK the part...meaning not all fat and out of shape, not someone I could "take."LOL

I do think if he wasn't such a scumbag, him wanting his wife naked all the time is kinda cute though.
