Anyone else having sound issues

I have an AMD Athlon 64 based system with on-board sound. For some reason, I get no sound fx or music from the game. Anyone else having issues. I'm going to try updating drivers and see if that helps, but my sound passes all the latest direct x tests.

Be sure you downloaded the Multimedia pack, if you got the game via download.
