Just got the game

Hey, havent really been here since i got bored of Galciv 1 ages ago, but have been looking forward to a newer version for ages. I downlaoded the game this morning, as your site said it would be able to be played on the 21st.

How do i activate and play? Its like 2pm over here in the UK (Couldnt buy in the shops as they have never heard of it and say they wont be stocking it, only game.com has it listed, but for the 13th march )

The game activation seems to just load up stardock and nothin else.

Bleh, my day off work and EQ2 is down for a 10 hour update, Eve-online is down for a 24 hour update, and i cant get gal0civ to work.

It won't work - yet. What you've been able to download so far is the preload that's been available for a week or so. The game does indeed go live today, but the most recent word from Stardock has been that it won't happen until about 3PM EST (GMT -5) - meaning it likely won't be playable until about 8PM your time.

We're all rabidly hoping the good folks in charge decide to release the game earlier, but until it happens, we're just sitting here waiting with baited breath.

D'oh

When my boss gave me the day off for doing so much overtime i was looking forward to some gaming time i rarely get, so far i have found eq2 down, eve-online down and now this!

Someone up there must be laughing at me. No way im doing what the missus suggested and painting the spare room!

Citizen Nirvana.

Totally empathize as wife is working so was hoping for a day of exploration in peace down here in Cornwall.Reckon it will have to be tomorrow now . By the way their should be a puls sign next to the bit you have downloaded on the stardock central page ( games section).If you left click on it the tutorials and movies need to be downloaded too.

Awaiting the rest of the download too.Not long to wait but every preview,review and gameplay example just makes me want the game more!!!

Earn karmic credits! Paint that room... paint it GOOD! Then next time your misses wants you to do something you can say: Sorry honey, I need to sit down and play this game now - I really wanted to on Tuesday but I was busy painting the spare room for you!!!

Oh, I completely understand... I'm at least in a better timezone for it (EST myself), but I have to start work at 5PM today... which means about 6 hours of waiting for the release, followed by maybe 90 minutes of game time, and then heading out. And originally I was so looking forward to having the whole day to play.

I live on the west coast of the US. That means that at noon my time I can start the download and go to class. When I come home voila!!!! I called in sick to work because I really am sick. Of course not too sick to play GC2. I will have all day to play. After about 4-5 hours though I will have to stop to do some homework for tomorrow morning.
