STICKY: Undocumented Features

Things we added but haven't had time to document

(1) The official release of the digital version is 1.0D (for Digital).

(2) 1.0D allows users to RIGHT-CLICK on ship built notifications and it will automatically launch the ship.

(3) Because some video cards had video stuttering with the tutorials, the digital release adds a "Full screen" option. Ironically, the videos run fine on even obscenely low end hardware if run full-screen.

(4) We will have a full list of what's new in the digital release.

Is that the drop-down notification, or the GNN notification? Just curious, I know I had asked for this or something like it, but because of the change in left-clicking on ship notifications, I found I didn't want this feature as much.

It's the notification that shows on the bottom right of the screen, though I wish you can do the same for other notification.

I think the auto-launching ship option would be really helpful here.

Hey Froggy - I'm running in 1900x1200 rez on ATI X600 and a 24" dell LCD. I also get the stuttering (which is crazy because I have a dual core p4-3ghz with 3gb ram). When I run the full screen tutorials, the bottom 15% of the screen gets cropped - no doubt due to my wacky screen rez. It probably needs some scaling or something. I can send a screen cap if you like.

Good to know and not intuitive in any way!

I'd like such an option too. I've been able to partially get around this by using rally points but it can get out of control if you're building lots of different ships for different purposes in different locations. And it sucks to make a rally point for one planet's ship production just to simulate auto-launching.
