Release time?

Without wishing to sound like an obsessed person , has there been a specific time for release announced for the 21st?
Will it be out at midnight on the 21st or is it more like the middle of the day?

Sorry if this is in the faqs, I had a look but couldn't see any info on it.

I believe I read somewhere the release (for download, at least) is sometime in the afternoon eastern time.

Looks like I'll have to wait until I get home from work to download it then. At least I should be able to get a game in Tuesday evening thanks to the wonders of pre-loading.

Good, I guess I'll be ready to go after work. Hopefully, I will not have to stay over because I'm seriously excited about the release. I found myself clicking around the music folder yesterday and listened to a couple of the MP3s. The 1st one I chose was the Von Zipper alliance02, I think it was named. Anyway, it bought back great memories from the past in GC1. It was the music that you heard when you were good alignment and not a war. That was usually the time I was beginning to dominate or win.

*sigh* Just as I feared. It'll be early evening before I get to download considering I'm unfortunate enough to be 4 hours ahead of EST.

Heh, at least I'm not gonna have to wait 'till March to play due to there being some sort of delay at Paradox.

Are you all taking day light savings time into account? I don't know if it's used internationally, it's a horrible stupid idea, but unfortunitly a lot of people here in teh US are attached to it (except where I'm from, Arizona, we don't have it, unfortunitly I'm out of state for school .

You'd better have one mammoth gameplay example queued up to keep us all distracted throughout Tuesday morning. Otherwise the number of "is it out yet?" posts will probably break the forums.

It's only winter in this hemisphere. I'm curious; do any countries south of the equator use DST?

Have you considered 12:01 am instead? That way, It would let the die hards stay up and get their key files out of the way, before everyone and their sister hammers the servers in the afternoon, shutting people out for hours. I mean, I realize the pre orders only have key files to download now, but that still doesnt help when the server cant even start the Download process because everyone is trying at the same time.

Not to mention those that didnt pre-load/pre order.
