SD Central on 2 computers

OK, just wondering. Is it possible and honest to put my Object Desktop stuff on my laptop as well as my desktop? How do I go about it? Just download SD Central again from my laptop? Admins or Moderators, please let me know how I go about this. I want to do it honestly, and if I have to pay again I will. Thanks.

RPGFX,

Stardock permits users to have the same software (using the same serial number) on more than one computer, as long as the programs are not "running" at the same time.

Quote: "It's hard to be at two keyboards at one time".

In fact, Stardock recommends this.

I run Stardock Central and it's included Object Desktop programs on both my desktop and notebook also.

As far as setting it up, simply install Stardock Central on the second machine > start SDC > register your products > download and install the programs you use > have fun.

Thanks Corky... Only thing is, my desktop is ALWAYS running. So whenever my laptop is on, it'll be running on both together. Hope that's not a problem.

From the SDC EULA

YOU MAY:
1. Install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer.
2. Install a second copy of the SOFTWARE on a second computer only if you are the main user of this computer (home computer or laptop for example).

Pretty clear.

Yeah, the 'only one running at a time' part seems to have vanished.

Apprentice RPGFX ...IF BOTH MACHINES oops...caps...are yours then it's OK to install on both....irrespective of when you run them.

Stardock's EULA is the 'sensible one', unlike Microsoft's.....[if only they saw the logic/fairness with XP licences...I for one would be a few hundred bucks richer]....

Thanks guys. Yeah both computers are mine. I'm not one to distribute copies of licensed material. Thanks for the info.

Wondered about this myself...running SDC for years, now, on desktop and laptop. Got new laptop, and wasn't sure what to do, so purchased another copy of SDC to run on the new laptop. All seems to run fine, even after reformat on new laptop, reinstall...
