WHY IS THE WESTERN WORLD SEETHING WITH POLITE ANGER
WHAT MUSLIMS CAN DO

And here it is:
1. Don't burn down stuff and stop killing people.
Now that that is out of the way, or if you are not the type of person anyway, follow the next few easy rules.
2. Don't educate the west, educate fellow Muslims. This is your religion and your rules and thus your problem, not ours.
3. Don't act as if other people made a mistake but learn from your own mistakes.
4. And stop pretending that your prophet is worth more than anybody or anything else. For you he might be, for us he is simply a man. And his philosophy seems more stupid to us every day.
These are the few simple rules you have to follow. It's very easy. None of them are particularly nasty. You can follow them by sitting in a comfy chair for several weeks. Perhaps read the Qur'an, while you are at it.
I believe it tells you not to idolise Muhammed.
That is a smart rule, and one that many of you currently violate. If threatening violence to save a man's honour is not idolatry, then I don't know what is.
You see, it turns out idolatry is wrong. I hope G-d forgives you all.
Good evening.

Good evening.
I am myself norwegian (our embassy in Damascus is burned, and some of our troops in Afghanistan were recently attacked by a mob armed with grenades and guns), and over here we have quite a debate about freedom of speech. What worries me is not violent muslims burning embassies (though that isn't very pleasant either), but rather the fact that the great majority of the muslim world is either completely ignorant, or opposed to free speech. My impression is that many norwegian muslims wish for there to be a law against blasphemy (in fact, we already have such a law here in norway, though most ethnical norwegians are probably in favour of removing it). It is quite possible by norwegian law that the first norwegian newspaper to print these pictures, "magazinet", will be found guilty of blasphemy. Sp what I fear and react the most to in this crisis is not the violence, but rather the fact that almost all muslims seem to be against free speech (danish consumer exports to the middle east has almost completely stopped because of the consumer boycott. Muslims want the editors to be punished and laws passed that forbidd "blasphemy". I wonder where the world would be if noone ever was critical of religion...
