Oh you can add your own avatars?

You can add your own .png race files, the little icon you see that I use here is the racial picture I was using in the beta.

You can add your own race portraits in game very easily, it's just a matter of making a picture of the right size and name and putting it in the right place.

The squirrel is a minor-race image, though

If you have worked out how to alter the ingame avatars it might be nice to post the 'how to' here so others can follow your instructions

I see the race avatar? files in the /gfx area, they are .png couldn't you open them with paint and modify away? I am not graphic artist best I usually do is stick figures for hangman but some folks are really good out there.

Those are the ones your refering to correct?

The sizes are 256x256 for portraits, and 128x128 for the logos. Just put them in [GalCiv2 folder]/Gfx/Race and name them in the same format as the existing ones (but of course use a number that's not in use already).

If you want to replace a computer player's graphics, there are a few additional images you'll need to supply (a 393x256 image for the diplomacy screen, and if you've got the tools and knowledge, you should be able to create a bink animation for that screen as well).

and a Communist Flag for the Race Logo...(its esentialy a pic of a Head with a Communist symbol in his right eye and a purple background-Means Communism+watching over everyone)..

But first you get a totalitarian one. Then Communism falls, society collapses, and you get stateless anarchy. Then possilbly later, cyberpunk dystopia.
