Nice to see American Muslims proving that Islam doesn't necessarily have to be something for the world to fear. I don't think this deserves an apology, it's news, after all. Otherwise, let them protest, they can for the same reason the Press can print what they like.

sad part about this whole cartoon issue........these cartoons were published in SEPTEMBER..and now 4 months later, after preaching to their thugs.....the extremists decide it is time to show their outrage. the ONLY thing i an reinforced in belief in, from their actions, is the fact that there is no dialouge with these rouge's possible. you capitulate to them in EVERY thing they want, or they start blowing things up and burning things down. no infedel is safe in any sense, AMEN for george W. to have the balls to call their bluff, establish a battleground in THEIR back yard rather than mine. it is only a matter of time before the world is over-run with these lunatics and we will have NO CHOICE but to fight them, they have shown this TIME AND TIME AGAIN, violence is all they know, the only way to solve their problems. i am just glad the REST of the world is having the EXTREMISTS thrown in their faces and are awakening to the realization that this is the way things are, like them or not.the same people protesting a simple cartoon are the same people that, if given the chance, would slit your throat for believing in anyone OTHER than their precious prophet or allah. so it is ok for them to do all they wish, don't you try though...hell will break out.won't be long and and all this will be decided, civilized nations against muslims of this extremism. until the MUSLIMS THEMSELVES start to take on these wackos it can be no other way, funny though, the reason you don't hear this HUGE outcry amongst muslims themselves.....they too are scared to be blown up by their own, for they too know there is NO dealing with, NO negotiating with, ONLY total and utter capitulation will stop this evil and it's spread....or a few brave nations, a few brave souls, and a good ol ass woopin the likes have never been seen. the day is coming .. it's not to far off!!

Well, I will not argue with that.  So you are saying that WWIII will start in Europe due to them not standing up.  Again I will not argue that point.  But they are sovereign if stupid nations.  We cannot interfere until called.  In that you may be right.

i hope to the highest heavens that it DOESN'T break out, but i think the writing is on the wall. for over 20 years now the world has sat idley by and watched these "extremists" get more and more ruthless and are only now starting to see the evil that lurks. i do believe that if it does break out it will be in europe. i don't think they have the ability, not to mention the numbers, to try and start something here within the us.i think they realize they need to keep this out of our country in order to keep the "sleeping giant" passive and reluctant, split two ways in many senses, rather than to have the fury of this ENTIRE nation hunting them down. they have it that best way they could now, with us divided and talking of retreat. if we were to do this and they were to get the false sense they have defeated us in any sense, europe is soon to fall i believe, after the obliteration of israel mind you.like i said the writing is on the walls, it is a matter of time unless drastic changes happen amongst the muslims themselves. the palestinians,hamas in short, will be worth watching if for only to see if they live up to their words, provide for their people like they have always said they wanted. the world is watching but i think it is wishful hopeing in reality. it will definately make for interesting times to come, with all that is written on the wall.

You have a very dark view of the world.  But then some of the most astute people in the past have seen the worst and prepared for it, only to be vindicated when it happened.

you can put me in that "dark category" as well. The handwriting is indeed on the wall. I agree that WWIII will be as a result of the revived Roman Empire coupled with the events in the middle east. It's starting to happen right before our very eyes.

I have always beleived that WWIII would not be between the US and USSR (I am that old - I knew neither of us was that stupid, no matter how beligerent).  As I said, I hope you are wrong.  But I am not going to say you are wrong.

I am thinking of ordering a one month subscription to the Philadelphia Inquirer as a show of support. While I may think the cartoons were offensive, I believe that supporting free speech means supporting more than just the speech we LIKE!

Way to go, Philadelphia!
