Wait a minute....

F-secure anti-virus scan

Are you talking about the online version? Don't you have another AV program installed?

2 AV's on the one machine can often be problematic....[though I have 2...without pain]...

Can you go into safe mode? Safe mode it and do a system restore.

Still can't find that darn thing, yraq.

Patriots,

Start with yraq's question, then verify that you can or can't boot to safe mode, and let us know.

Well, after spending the night giving my computer a fresh install of win...I lost everything on both drives

I think my problem started when I tried to install F-secure antivirus. Yes, Yrag, your right I did have Kaspersky on my computer but, it was a trial version and it ran out. I didn't like the program. So, I was going to try out this one...Only thing I think I forgot about was I had Zone Alarm on here as well. I don't think they like to play nice together...hence the system error..

Well, when I re-installed windows, it re-configured my whole system drives to different ones when I first installed them all. My back up hard drive was labled (I:/) now it's (D:/) so, guess I don't have to say that I lost everything on (I:/) as well

If ya can figure out a way that I can get all that back, I"d appreciate it. Sorry It took so long for me to get back to you all...was just trying the fresh install of windows..

Patriots, I dont know what kind of formatting you did, sometimes you can recover lost files with this program Link

It's free and it has worked like a charm for me on a few occassions....
