Hi there,
I am really enjoying Offworld Trading Company, but I do have a couple of suggestions for UI improvement.
- I would like to have an easy way to see available tiles of every resource type, so that I can easily switch between them. While the game already has this in the form of being able to click on the resource icon, I am unable to specify that I am looking for a tile with 2 or even 3 blocks. Instead, I have to cycle between all resources regardless. In addition, the option does not provide any way (as far as I am aware) to switch between your own and enemy occupied tiles, which could be useful. (Own tiles for checking up on them or adjecency, enemy tiles for sabotage and potentially surrounding when you have Slant Drilling)
- The offworld value of a product is hidden in a tooltip when hovering over the price, which is fairly annoying, as this means your offworld strategy can only be properly planned once you have hovered over all egligable resource prices, which is fairly cumbersome
- There is no clear indication of the amount of structures that are not actively producing resources. It would be useful to have a quick overview of the amount of buildings turned off, missing resources or sabotaged. Maybe even the amount Goon Squadded?
- The auto-supply option in production facilities menus should - in my opinion - really be in the left part of the screen, close to the controls of manually purchasing the resources. It is fairly frequent that I forget to either turn it on or off, because I do not keep an eye on the "Missing <resource>" message on the buildings themselves, or forget the feature is turned on while the prices have suddenly skyrocketed. (And the reason for toggling that option is really related to the cost of the resource, so the option to toggle purchase should probably be close to it)
- An auto-sell option for every single resource type would be appreciated, instead of just for power. Stacking up on resources you currently don't need is probably preferable in most cases, but an auto-sell option to sell all incoming resources immediately is useful in some cases. Especially when producing expensive resources you want to sell for a profit to pay off your debt instead of stockpiling for later.
- Interaction with the Offworld Market - which is effectively limited to a button press - should be incorportated in the resource view instead of in a seperate tab. Shift+Click (automatic queueing) should also be its own option in the UI
- Knowing how many resources are waiting to be transferred or are currently in transfer is probably also useful information. Having a single button to instantly transfer all resources lying in wait for transfer to your base might also be useful.
- Maybe a big, red "ON/OFF" button for all production of products taking other resources. Iron is occasionally worth more than steel, being able to stop the process of making steel with a single click might be useful
Find attached a simple mockup I made before writing this.

This interface is a lot bigger, and I am not sure it fits either with the design philosophy behind the game nor on the players' screens, but does provide more information and interaction in a more central location, which I feel is a fairly big problem with the current UI in places.
