Hi Cov123,
Thank you for your feedback!
The order of the factions should be by stock price. Leader on top.
We've discussed this internally, but I'm happy with the current solution for the following reasons:
- The active player is always on top, so the player knows where to look.
- Having a static position provides another way to recognize players.
- The stock price isn't the best method of saying who's in first. It does matter at the end, but it matters less in the early and mid game.
- If players are switching locations throughout the game, there can be interface problems where someone goes to buy a player, and all the sudden the list reorders and they spend all their money on someone else.
I recognize that it's hard to tell who's in first currently, which is one of the reasons I added the quarterly reports during the auctions. We can do more to expose how players are doing to recognize their threat level.
"delete" should scrap selected building.
That's a good idea. Added to my task list.
Left click should turn off buildings.
Not sure about that one. Don't you use left click to select the building?
Pressing "M" for build mine should pop up the the same window that opens when you "mouse over" the mine. (Need to be able to see how much money will be spent). Pop up should be lower left.
That's a really good idea. I'll see if we can work something like that out.
The total cost for base upgrade should always be visible (to the right of the button). Perhaps color coded to make it more transparent. Red, yellow, green? Based on if you can't afford it, can afford it with cash, and can afford it with 0$ fee.
That's an interesting idea. I'm hesitant to show more numbers on the screen. I think players get a little "number blind" at a point. I do agree that the upgrade button needs love and should sing and dance when it's available. It's one of the three most important buttons in the game.
Pressing M then RIGHT click should be command: "build mine on tile as soon 10 iron is mined (left clicking would function the same as always - just buying the iron at market cost). A "ghost" mine should be placed while waiting for the iron as a "place holder". Selecting then pressing "delete" should cancel the request.
I'm really reluctant to automate more things. A lot of things are happening in the game and it takes a while for players to understand why things are happening. I personally don't like the "auto-buy" feature because players can lose track of it and not realize that they're destroying themselves by automatically buying things. Soren uses it a lot, but I don't know anyone else who does.
PLove the game btw. Thanks!
Thanks for taking time to provide great feedback! I'm glad you enjoy the game!
