Thanks for the great article. I have been using Spybot for some time. I wasn't aware that there were things it missed that Adaware would catch and visa-vera. I update my Spybot regularly. I'll install Adaware right away and use them both. There oughta be a law.

Sounds like a politician with too much time on his hands. Now a law against plumbers and such showing butt crack...I would vote for that!
Thanks Karma. I really didn't expect anyone to comment on this litany of personal whining lol. Your kind comments are appreciated. Actually I learned meditation techniques a number of years ago while studying Eastern Philosophies and Religions. I still prctice meditation techniques and they do help to some degree or other. I especially find them useful when I need to focus my mind on a particular task or idea I wish to explore in depth. <B
While taking your time is always good advice, don't take so long that you cheat yourself out of something beautiful. "Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all"
Pain. I had lower back surgery in 1999. I put it off for years. I simply put up with the pain and went about my business. In 1999 my right leg stopped working. The stupid thing simply refused to do anything I asked of it. All it did was hurt. I was driving my rig into Louisville, KY during rush hour and traffic suddenly decided to stop in front of me as tra
Yep everything is affected. As to the diesel for cars, it's only more in a couple of states. Everywhere else it's cheaper. In the states where truck diesel is less at the pump they send you a tax bill at the end of the year that you have to pay. Once that's added in to the pump price it's higher. The "red stuff" for farm use is cheaper because they take some of the taxes off it to give the farmers a break. They need all the breaks they can get
I first became really interested in eating with chopsticks a few years ago. I was making a pick up at a warehouse in New Jersey and most of the people working there were from Vietnam. I happened to be there when their lunch break came around. As I sat in the break room watching these guys eating their lunch, one older fellow piqued my curiosity. He was eating
A very interesting and well written article. I like to think that with age comes wisdom. I think that it is rare for a 24 year old to have come to realize these things. You may be wise beyond your years.
I like the Capt. over and out! but that's just me :)
I drive a truck for a living. Last year I got rid of my truck and started driving a company truck because of the ever-increasing price of fuel. The taxes on diesel for commercial trucks is already far higher than that on gasoline and diesel for private cars. Whether you are buying gasoline or diesel fuel, most of what you are paying at the pump is taxes. Trucks pay a huge amount of money every years in fuel taxes and 'road use' taxes which ar
It is amazing the things we miss as we go about our daily business of life. I travel for a living and often take some time out to "just look around". You're quite right, it is amazing what you see when you open your eyes. More people should spend time REALLY looking at their surroundings. There's a lot of interesting stuff out there. Good article.
Made perfect sense to me. But then, I'm always confused.
TARSIER It is sad that people tend to judge without knowing the facts, isn't it? While there are things about the Catholic Church I do not agree with, there are things about many denominational things I don't agree with. But to say a person isn't a Christian because they are Catholic is just plain stupid. Protestants either forget or plain don't know that prior to the Reformation ALL Christians were Catholics or Jews. Just more stupid deno
No I've never studied Aramaic as of yet. And actually the bulk of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew.
shadesofgrey was right!!! thanks all for the help on my stupid question
I am only successful in getting the quote function to work when I am in the forums. The bracket methods work there... sorry that I can't be more helpful!
[Quote] still didn't work
like this???
"[quote " I think its just a recurring problem... sometimes it works, and sometime it don't. :)" /quote] hmmmmm wondering if this'll work lol" nope didn't work
[quote " I think its just a recurring problem... sometimes it works, and sometime it don't. :)" /quote] hmmmmm wondering if this'll work lol
Thanks you Sherye. Actually I have read some of C.S. Lewis
That's a real bummer. If there aren't any signs, how are you supposed to know? Should be some recourse for something like this. I'm sorry for your troubles.
That is a good point Jill, and I can say it hasn't changed because, as I said before, I have had the pleasure of studying the old texts in Hebrew and Greek which are the languages in which they were written, otherwise I wouldn't have made the comment. I am hardly fluent in ancient languages and the study is time-consuming and tedious but rewarding. Another point: Most of us don't understand the complicated mathematics involved with as
How do you do the quotes in the yellow boxes?????? I tried putting "quote" and "/quote" in brackets with the text in between but didn't work. I'm sure it's been asked before but I couldn't find the aswer so don't beat me up about it, I did look for it.
Only $5.5 million? the one I got was $126 million. lmao
