Ahh, the memories of working as a server. Fortunately for me it was a very family oriented place and the owner was the first one to go out and talk to the customers if you weren't being treated well. He even went so far as to talk with a couple that consistently left terrible tips even when their service was great. It helped to avoid a lot of the crap you describe. Of course you still had to deal with some of it, but it was fortunately pretty tame.

This isn't unique to English though. It happens all the time in Spanish. Depending on where they are from it can be nearly impossible to decipher what one person is saying, and it isn't just the accent. It is even more apparent in some other languages. Oh yes. The two years I spent in Guatemala were marvelous. I learned so much from that experience for a number of reasons, and one of those was the opportunity to be immersed in a new culture.

I grew up in Utah, and while the populations of different ethnicity are increasing there it is still mostly white folks who form the majority. Now I am in med school here at Duke in NC and in my class of 100 I am in the minority as a white male. It is great. A very refreshing experience.

Did you ask the Dr. about tossing a little cereal (usually rice) into the formula? It gives it a little more substance, some more calories per ounce, and can help hold the little ones over for a longer time. With the concerns about the asthma (I won't toss out my own personal opinions about that one at this time) I know the Dr. wants you to be careful, but that may be worth discussing. Adaware is great. But I really, really think you need to couple it with Spybot Search and Destroy. There are things that one misses but the other will catch. They work very well when used one after another. I run them each at least once a week to keep things clean.
