Magnum...[buckwheat voice]Here I is!!![buckwheat voice/]. I think I can put my "alleged" game three up to victim of the ctrl-n issue. (I am quite sure I was not stupid enough to repeat the mistake I made the first two times I played GCII.) That having been said, I am currently involved in a Military only campaign on Crippling, and I expect it shall be another 10 days before I can complete it...we shall see.

Thanks for the new Avvie DG! I'll switch that out this week...Stardock correct? or is it TGN? Either way, I'll figure it out and switch it soon.

If you're talking about loading a saved MV game, you just need to load it. You do not, IFAIK, have to log in each time you play. I have 2 submissions that I've done that way and although I have a third that will not submit, I think I just ~might~ have messed up and hit "new game" without logging in before starting it. Hope this helps.

I remember you John/Nat! Welcome to GCII. You are welcome to join our empire, we emphasize enjoyment of the game (this will help prevent MV burnout). Stay active here regardless of the empire you join and...(better yet) join us at the Galactic Core! http://Thegalacticcore.com EDIT: I have given up hope on my game 3 and have started a new game 3 on Crippling level...I'll keep ya'all up to date...

I too have a game I started as an MV game and it wont submit. I'm a bit lost as to what could have caused it but more irritated at the fact that it took over a week to win it! Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I just wrapped up my game 3 for a tidy 113K (thank you very much!). Problem...It wont submit!!! Is there something going on with the MV right now that is preventing submission? EDIT: [Side Note] If you'd like to see an example of DG whipping up an avatar, see mine. DG made this one for me for "The Core". (Thanks again DG <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/

HMMM, I still don't show any medals for my character and I have 2 measly scores submitted. Currently working on a gigantic military that I should have submitted by the weekend.

I am about to start game 3. I will make sure that it is a military victory as I have a "political" and cultural victory already on the books. Side note: Please post your custom ship class names. Mine are a s follows: Medium hulls (As far as I've been able to research as of yet): Using LaserV tech with no defence - Laser Tagger Using PlasmaII tech with no defence - Plasmatica

In Orange county California today, my local Best Buy did not have the game (nor an empty space with a shelf tag) but the local Wal-Mart did (only 3 left though). It was neat to actually see what the game box and screenies/descriptions were. Congrats to the Stardock team for another one "put over the fence"!

OK, game one in the bag...a lousy score but not bad for my first Alliance effort. I think I'll play huge military or tech for the next one with all races and play my usually saintly morality.

Hey Gandalf, I know you used to be a part of Darth Griffins(DG's) "Embassy" site, I remember seeing you over there. We few GG players that stuck together after GCI slowed down stayed in touch with each other through DG's site (now called The Galactic Core http://thegalacticcore.com ). You'll find Weyrleader, Exalted Druid, FC, Graf von Deimos, myself, and occasionally Littlewotts there. You'll also find Tech, DG, Damoose, Moser the Alchemist, Peace Phoenix, and many others. I have decided t

Well, here I am, and I seem to have failed to read the manual on how to submit a game to the metaverse. Scratch game 1. Off to slay more baddies I guess.

Hey, as long as you're having fun that's what counts. Have you check out the galactic core? http://www.thegalacticcore.com You'll find Tech, Weyr, ED, FC, Darth Griffin, and many others there. Pop in and say hi...

If you are wondering how to get a PQ to that high a level, you should understand that there are many, many great mod's that can add tremendous depth to the game. To access the list of the available modifications and the descriptions of them, go to the library tab on top of this page and you can sort by type of mod available. I use the Halut and Omega packs (by Icho Tolot), the great institutions pack (I don't remember the author), and the Research Inc. political party mod (by Darth Gri

I don't know the formulas, but I can tell you that once you raise the PQ to 15 or higher, the toll is lessened dramatically. The way to look at it is that the PQ is low enough that in order to sustain life, so much money must be put into habitation, that the drain on that planets economy is more than it can produce. A similar function is found between the relationship between planet population and planet morale. The more people there are, the less happy they become. This is

Another nice trick is to send one constructor out to each "occupied" resource. Once there, just have it orbit the AI's SB that is on the resource. Eventually, that AI will get into a war with another and when a passing enemy ship destroys that SB, your constructor is right there to take advantage of it.
