Hey MM, That was SIX thumbs up! As for Ms McKinney, she is following in lock-step with the NAACP, NOI, "The Man is always tryin to hold me down" garbage that is spewed forth by every single race-baiting, leader of the cultural sensitivitist! Her lawyer last night, ( as well as some talking head interviewed by Tony Snow the night before ) are all feeding at the trough of "Victimhood", and at risk is the fact that the silent major

Hey, don't forget about the free cookies and juice Don't think of it as possibly saving a life, You ARE saving a life! O- is universal, and is not only used in transfusions but in research as well...my daughter is a Type 1 diabetic, and your blood could just as likely help find a cure for her, and it only hurts for a little bit. <img src="http://imag

Why is it that Towing Services seem to be nothing more than a haven for thieves to be gainfully employed? I've gone thru about 6 here recently ( for recovery services) and for the life of them, it seems every time they repo a car the radio is gone, and everything has been rifled thru...........

As an example of positive v/s negative, substitute recognize for rationalize in the following situations; When my father died of a stroke, days before he was to start chemo for glandular cancer, we rationalized he was out of pain and at peace. When my Step-father died after suffering from COPD for 5 years, we again rationalized he was no longer suffering. When my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, we rationalized that she had

Gid, I agree with the gist of your article, this is a great lesson for all to learn the old adage" When you lie down with dogs, you're bound to get fleas", and that potentially applies to the alledged offenders as well as the alledged victim. BUT, the true shame is when Duke is bullied into offering their nationally ranked Lacrosse Team up for sacrifice on the alter of "Political Correctness". My belief is that the school abandon

Baker, I agree with you on respecting the alledged victim, but how about the same treatment for the alledged offenders? They have already been tried and convicted in the court of public opinion ( at least in the public, I'd hazzard a guess that many more share my doubts but are afraid to voice them in fear of being tagged a racist )

Mason, I drove for all of 2 weeks after leaving the Army, my nerves just could not take it! I was hauling boats from SC to Ohio, rolling up I-77, thru the mountains of NC, VA, and WV. The beautiful vista's of deep valleys and curving passes paled in the thoughts of using one of those "emergency truck stops", and the obilvion of the average motorist made it that much worse. Maybe everyone should have to get a CDL when they apply for a licen

Incident specific Information follows; In North Carolina the only legal exotic dancing is proformed in a very regulated, licensed facility, by licensed proformers. The dancer in question is what is known as a "freelancer" and was secured through a "Escort Service" that has always been associated with prostitution...but she probably didn't know that, so it's her booking agent/pimp's fault. There is more to the tale; a phone ca

I go for both. With Scouts we'll "pack in" all we need for some trips, and on others we'll "truck camp" bringing every conceivable luxury from home in the back of trucks. We have a portable kitchen that would be the envy of any cooking show! Tents are the only shelter, but comfy cots make it on truck trips. Family-wise we started with a pop-up, and have graduated to a park model on a year-round leased lot at the coast, we keep the boa

My 16 yr old actually requested we go fishing this weekend for his birthday! We'll do the head boat thing, go out about 5 miles and bottom fish for Red Snapper, Sea Bass, and Grouper. The Dolphin, Yellow Fin Tuna, and Kings won't start running for another month or 2 ( usually the best fishing is on Mothers Day )and the Marlin and Sail Fish follow them a couple of weeks later. Darn it! Now I gotta go do reel maintainance......

It's real hard to frown riding in a convertible The Saturn Vue is an OK choice ( my wife has a '03 w/ 85k on it so far) BUT, the reason she's driving it is because I bought it last year for HALF it's retail value.... We had a run of above 60 degree weather last month and I pulled out my "Dynosoar", a 63 Chrysler 300 Convt. retro all the way down to t

As a fellow self-employed taxpayer, I too, USED TO dedicate every waking moment to "scoring", until my youngest daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I was basically a great provider and little else. Before that revelation, I did recognize a need for more time with my son's, and we all dove into Boy Scouts, two Eagle Scouts later, I am seriously considering Professional Scouting as a "retirement plan". You don't like fishing, s
