The first episode has aired.. My thoughts ( SPOILER ALERT ):
I loved the opening shot with the camera closing in on the Enterprise D (which had some interesting design modifications) and going through the window into to the room.. the kind of shot you always wanted to see as a kid watching TNG but knew they couldn't really do effectively (well not without spending some heavy money lol, which is kind of

RED ALERT! We've got another new trailer. The beard is back! The old uniforms make a cameo! 7 of 9 is doing her Ronin thing. And we introduce the most hated admiral in Star Trek history haha! I spent endless hours playing Master of Orion 1 in the 90s (which was of course what got me into GalCiv) so this sounds good! Free early release you can play right now.. love letter to MOO1.. infinite techs.. dynamic AI.. wormhole/starlane game or not.. super customizable UI & gameplay. Good stuff! https://explorminate.co/dominus-galaxias-kickstarter-has-launched/

This is pretty cool! I just found/dug up this old Civ2 scenario from years ago. A user named Metropolis has recreated classic Star Control adventure in a HUGE Civilization 2 scenario. You can colonize planets in different solar systems (separated by red hyperspace) and play a real sandbox style SC game. He's filled this huge galaxy with known SC aliens and cool story events.
I picked this up almost right away. Did some streaming of it on Mixer too. It really is a great game and definitely in line with anyone who has played Freelancer and wants a similar experience.
That's good to know that you're loving it as it's gonna be a looooong year before I get to play it myself on steam haha. If you're a big freelancer fan like me then I've just found yet another new FL style gaming on

Oooooh looks like Robert Picardo, the EMH Doctor from Voyager might be in Star Trek Picard too. God this show opens up so many cool things for not just TNG fans but Voyager and DS9 fans too!

If there's any old Freelancer or Wing Commander Privateer fans here, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw has gotta be the closest thing I've seen to these games yet!!! Gorgeous planet landings FTW! I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuge Freelancer fan (so much so I run a fb fan group haha). Fans still mod it to this day creating cool stuff but somehow this great old game neve

Yeah I'm not in the states so I don't have to worry about the CBS subscription heh. Looks like Amazon are handling it for the rest of us (which is weird as Netflix do ST-Discovery internationally). Just found this trailer analysis by Trek Central. Looks like they going with post apocalypse (the controversial supernova event) Romulan's experimenting with Borg technology presumably to try and regain some lost power. Gotta love the lab sign saying 5,843 days without assimi

Old news now but is anyone else pumped for this?? Data, 7 of 9, the Borg, Hugh (borg guy from TNG), and apparently Riker & Troi too.. all back!! CBS region locked the trailer surprise surprise so here's an amazon international one: CBS trailer for US (which I can't play):

Yeah probably! But the question remains of what are Atari up to! I tweeted the Atari CEO about yesterdays discovery! They will no doubt ignore it but feel free to comment & like it which should pester them even more haha https://twitter.com/Blake1981/status/1131125936579960833

My bad apparently Atari are back involved in game publishing these days and were involved with the recent Blood re-release and appear to have their hands in the pots of a few other retro series. And it's been pointed out to me that their current CEO Fred Chesnais was once running the show at Mircropose.. Also looks like MoM had somehow been sitting with these extreme pro group mobile gaming guys since the Atari bankruptcy thing.. but they lost it in February t

This is a sad say that many feared was coming. Hope you guys can get it back up on Steam & GoG. All the fans wanted after all these years were new Star Control games and therefore for both of the projects to happen. However it looks like this isn't going to end until one party is completely obliterated and bankrupt resulting in there only being one game out there.. and it'll probably be incomplete (compared to original plans) due to the winner losing so much money as well. I've ju

Well it looks like it was all for nothing sadly. Just over a day to go and the Starflight 3 crowdfund is barely over halfway. 30 years waiting for a sequel and its fails due to not enough media attention. So many thousands of SF fans out there (SF1 was apparently the first ever game to go platinum with 1mil sales back in the 80s) that never got to hear about this. Such a shame! But there's still hope as Greg &
A lot of the time there's a big push at the end to get over the top. Don't give up hope!
Am trying not to Brad, but as each day goes by it gets worse and worse.. 5 days to go and STILL not even half way. :( Guessing the folks at HumaNature don't have quite the marketing reach you guys have here lol, in fact judging by the fig comments section there's no marketing and it's just one of the Dev's (Anthony) trying to get the
I am inclined to take the underlying engine updates from FE/Sorcerer King and apply them to WOM and release i as an Ultimate Edition. WOM, I thought, was a good game, just too ambitious (code wise).
Yesssss. That's exactly what I was hoping you'd do mate! :)

Considering I run the Starflight Fan page on fb I'm mega excited about this haha! (we're all excited about SC Origins over there too) It's amazing.. up until recently this was a dead franchise.. now we're getting an official sequel and if that's not enough a rather talented ex-bethesda employee is working on a fan remake of Starflight 1 t

Hi guys, Plenty Elemental/FE/SK fans here who love the original Master of Magic game probably already know about it but for those who don’t know or haven’t seen it in years I thought I’d spread the word on an awesome fan project that’s still somehow going and has utterly blown me away. Master of Magic – Implode’s Multiplayer Edition is a brilliant opensource Java MoM engine rebuild that is far more closer to completion then

Thank you for your replies. That's a shame that it's still out there in limbo. Was kinda hoping someone would wrench it out of Atari's hands after all these years but I'm guessing someone else having the trademark complicates things. Clearly this wasn't a problem with Master of Orion. Being that Master of Orion and Master of Magic started in the same place its a shame they didn't stay together through the 'legal journey'.
