It needs to be a cross platform application or it won't survive. I do not plan on upgrading to Vista because it's not worth the money, period. I'd love to have an animated wallpaper, as well as animated icons. I like to see my desktop dance but not at the expense of buying an OS that has failed to be even a substantial upgrade from XP. Until Dreams is a cross platform deal, then it's "no deal" in the long run.

I had a PC issue and am in the process of reloading all of my software. Will lst you know if this happens once I have things up and running. I did not attempt to change the view style, it didn't occur to me but I did try just about everythings. I'll keep that in mind if it happens again.
When I click to view the Wallpaper within Central I get the text on the right side of the thumbnails but no pictures. However, if I click on categories underneath I can see the thumbnails. I've right clicked and refreshed it and the problem remains. I just upgraded to Central version ... 2.49.506.
I am using WB 6.0 (Build 36 x86). When I right click on the Task Bar it crashes the Task Bar and it "reboots" itself. In like fashion, when I open Windows Explorer and I'm navigating around my drives, if I click on any of the menu items like "File" or "Edit" explorer crashes and closes and then my Task Bar "reboots". If I unload WB, and use either the Windows Classic or the other native "skins", this does not occur. I am also using Windows FX and CursorXP. Neither of these applications seem to h

milksama, How do I go about getting that information for you? I'll gladly post it.

I like Winky changing, it shows the spirit of WinCustomize during that special season or holiday. Remember he (she?) is the face of WinCustomize.
Nice ads though. Have you logged in and back out? hehehe, ya, nice ads. Yes I've logged in and back out several times, updated my profile, etc.
I have ads all over the place while logged in, here's a screen shot with URL...
I've been buying Stardock products since WB 1.x and have loved the ability to "skin" my desktop. I am not a graphical guy so have not and do not create skins. I've tried my hand in it and even uploaded a WB Skin once. It was exciting to be able to do it but in the end, it only got a few downloads and I was surprised at that. Today, to even try that seems pretty daunting with the new products. There's just soooo much to them. I think that tutorial
I think this is just a little disengenious (spelling?) because kids have a lot more time on their hands and text messaging, when being interupted doesn't matter is fine. Us adults do not want to be interrupted by our phone beeping every 5 minutes and therefore e-mail (things that don't have to be right now) is a better venue of communication. Imagine trying to get work done as a project manager when you have 10 departments needing your time. You thi
I wonder ... I don't use IE, I use an app called NetCaptor but it runs on top of IE. I assume then that I'm considered an IE user?
Will Vista "upgrade" XP? More specifically, I bought XP64 and had to do a brand new install. Will we have to do that w/Vista? Also, Will Vista run in 64bit if a chip is found to be 64bit?
OK, who was the idiot that wanted to watch my heart drop in pants?! That was not funny! Yahoo Skins! You had me going!
Thanks!! way good!
E-mail notification is great, I use Samurize as a "sidebar" and I like to see when I have e-mail available. Another nicety would be to have my IM buddies on my "sidebar" instead of having to open my client. If someone's online that I want to talk with I could then open the client. I also like to have weather available. Being somewhat of a geek I also like to have my system information available, CPU temp, hard drive capacities, RAM used/free, CPU p
I'd like to see sounds that really match what their connected to. The PC of today should communicate with the user much, much better. Something like "Your has crashed". I'd like to see the PC get more communicative instead of just hearing, , . I hope this is the start of something along these lines.
Well, the site does provide for a great place for skinners to gather and put thier skins Robin. Without the skins you don't change much within your operating system. I think that alone is worth keeping this site running. I don't go to any other site to get my skins. This site is the authority on skins and the best skinners choose to put their skins here. Let's keep this portal open!
I've been a member since 2001, it's a great service and it's very nice to be able to at least change your interface so it doesn't LOOK like Microsoft made it. Next stop for Stardock, make a good OS.
I was having major problems last night, uninstalled 5.0. Today I re-installed 4.6 then re-installed 5 (latest) and whalla! No problems at all and yes, it's a lot faster than 4.6. Also, I'm having only one problem with WinFX. Minimize works fine but when I restore from the taskbar I do not get the effect, just a quick restore. Great job guys , this ones a winner.
This thing would really be revolutionary if it gradually changed the desktop, like the sun slowly moving from east to west, stars moving, trees blowing, etc. That would be very, very cool. I know I'd pay some duckies for that.
