i don't know whether to laugh, cry or take that as a comment or bashing... I think I will laugh because you called it a space sperm penetrating the Van allen radiation belt... Trully inspiring none the less. But, I didn't abuse filters. here is the filters I used... 1. the sperm like smoke on the astoroid balls, in hindsight guess I should have blurred them down or erased some of the tail... 2. Gausian blur, but that is a must especially when mixing colors... 3.

6000 plugin??? what plugin is that much??? filters are not nessecarily plugins. I will tell you this. For whatever your doing there is a filter that can make it better. I am sorry to say it but true elite digital artist now how to use their plugins masterfully.... Now for straight paintings NO, I can see where you wouldn't use them... You are trying to emulate true realistic art. Not something that most likely can't be done with a real live paintbrush... but what is th

I am sure they do and I haven't seen a lot of good artwork that is worked without filters... Please show me and prove it... Any cool thing that is done on a digital painting that can't be done on a regular painting is most likely a filter. Like lighting effects and what not. The better you get at using them the better you get at makeing better ART....Filters are a tool and if the picture looks better because of them than so be it.. NUMBER one FILTER>.. BLUR... and everybody on here uses that

no wait a minute... Filter frenzy is not art...?? See it is comments like that aren't neccessary... How do you think people make digital art???? Take away any persons filters on here and I guarantee you there wouldn't be another submission... To me that comment is dry and useless. It is not a vangogh remake, and yes there is even a filter for that... But my point is filters are important...So besides the sperm what do you guys think...

Ok I have created another wall paper and this is the theme... It is called American Omega, I am sure you can see why. I made this purposely dark because all of the cool things you can use for bright icons and the what not. Like a cool wally for a space theme or something. I am open to suggestions to improve this and make it as best I can... Now I do like it currently and am only looking for a cou

Karmagirl, first off thank you. Secondly my comment about Columbine was in whole a recognization on "ganging up" or "bullying" someone. Which is what I felt was happening to me. I meant no disrespect and want everyone to know that. But seriously, cliques aren't good. And for those of you who appreciated or like my work, even if you though I could improve, those comments are much appreciated. So, Sorry to anyone and everyone I have offended and I will take a quote from a famous drunk motor

Oh no, I admited in my description that it was an admiration of the aqua work, I said he was doing fruit and this was a vegtable. To be very realistic here the only thing that is "very similiar" to jairo's work is the light frosting highlight on the pumpkin. The other Aqua effects are totally different. And jairo's color combinations with his gradient technique is excellent compared to the level I am at. I think he would make a great tutorial on that.

ChasUGC...I agree and apologize for the aritistry skills comment. I have Jairo's aqua mellon on my desktop so no disrepect. I was only trying to say that nobody is perfect. I however must have been misunderstood on the comparing artist comments. I am not a VAn Gogh... , I never will be a monet either. I was simply saying this. They both were impressionist. One started it and another admired it and follo

I don't think jairo invented the "wet looking" effect. I would also say that he uses 100 percent shapes and when using free hand you can tell his obvious lack of artistry skills. On the other hand this was done completely free hand. I will give Jairo this, shading is excellent and admired but again he never inveted the wet effect. My rain could even help his pictures a bit and I would be glad to give him the recipe. First there was Van Gogh and then there was Monet. Techniques are learned
