Regardless of what's better, what's stolen or not, I don't think anyone has the right to hold ObjectDock's bugginess or lack thereof against StarDock (although it would be nice if that update I keep seeing would not fail every time!). Fact: Stardock gives ObjectDock away for FREE and does not offer official support for it. They can leave it is buggy as they want, it doesn't matter - you didn't pay for it. If, on the other hand, it's ObjectBar's bugs you want to complaina bout - that's d

Btw... I did check it out. I'll probably use the free version to check out JoeUser, but as it is based around an IE control, I probably won't be buying it, since I no longer trust IE security (once hijacked from a banner ad due to bad IE security is once too many in my book)... Too bad - looks like one of the best layed out RSS readers I've seen.

Okay, managed to stay away from the "options" screen. I did manage to win my first game. First take: Really lacking in depth. Really it's a matter of click around and campaign more than your opponent, while remembering to raise funds while in the rich states so you don't end up spending two turns raising campaign funds in poor states so you can afford airfare out. There's very little strategy, at least on the 2cd up difficulty, to it. Take the

It runs for me, and I have sound. But like one previous poster, if I attempt to click on Options once in the game, I get booted out to the main menu. I'm running XP Pro SP1, 512MB Ram, AMD XP 3200+, nForce2 chipset, Geforce MX440-SE (the weak link). It looks fine otherwise.

I'm about to shell out cash within the next few weeksfor Object Desktop most likely, and I'm already a Drengin.net subscriber. A big portion of my decision to go ahead and buy Object Desktop is due to the fact that, hell, I just like the company and the way it does business and feel I should support it. Then I got to thinking.... There are lots of "people" who the are characterized as "pirates" because they don't pay for their OS software, or for their games. What would happen, however,

Personally, I don't think that it's a matter of gui skinning having faded in popularity. If looking purely at the numbers of new skils/msstyles, I think there's a very clear reason there would be a slowdown over time. That is, unless radical new features come out which change the paradigm of application "frames", then most of the basic (that is, moderate, within the box) skin designs have been done. Most of what's left is either tweaking existing designs, or pushing the envelope with experimenta

Ahh... didn't realize that the update was that recent . I just installed objectdock from a file I had saved on my HD from months ago and it popped up with the update notice when I opened sdcentral to update galciv, so I figured what the heck... Owell, I guess I'll wait and see if it gets fixed! <img src="http://im
