Make a 64bit version of the game? Technically possible but unrealistic from marketing point of view: Cost a lot, gives nothing (in sales turms). The only ONLY way I see Stardock doing 64bit version is that if game sells so well that they have really huge amount of extra money they did not planed on, users need it for extra huge maps and Brad think it would be a nice idea to play with. Only if all those 3 condition met there is a chance for 64bit version. </

The TS has a point, ideally it would be nice to have different damage type and resistances to a different damage types for different units/creatures , same for the magic. And this thing better be shown both in train and combat screens.
The problems mentioned in the PC GAMER article are specific hardware related issues.
Agreed. ad such problem ALWAYS happen on release, in many cases it's drivers or user hardware to blame, however, in this case problems (different levels of severity) happens at more then 50% of users which is not acceptable. And it just emphasize my argument that game was not tested well enough.

I was banned from X3 (same registration as suggested here) forums due the fact that I mentioned that I quote myself "I can understand people pirating the game that does not have demo, paying $50 for cat in the sack is not pleasant" . So moderator banned me under the flag of "promoting software piracy". Since it was the same system I stopped to get updates, mods and could not get support (since forum account was connected to serial number). Not something I think in worm about...
Look guys, the game compiled. If there are bugs, we assume the compiler should have caught them. That's what the compiler is for. Now, none of us have had time to load the game or try it out but I'm sure it's fine.
Time to fire compiler?
The game was untested. I'm a beta tester and I haven't seen most of this stuff cobbled together for the last minute release. You can't flesh out a whole game, AND test it 'in house' in a month. I suspected that would be impossible, and it clearly was. But make no mistake, no beta tester saw this game.
+1 I even made a post about it on original Beta forum, before release, when it was just announced that it went "gold" ( <a href="https://forums.elementalgame.com/3
Hey if you had read Brads comments long before the game release he said "The game will NEVER BE FINISHED". But, your comment that it was untested is fail and wrong of course. That it is a great game is correct though.
It depends on what you mean by "finished". If you mean it will always frequently crash and exhibit all other bugs (double building, stuck in combat, resources you can't click on, "stuck" quests especially in campaign, particle effects and sounds that disap

The more I play the more I convinced the game is unplayable and more I like it. Paradox? No, Greatest strategy game of the decade, but bugs kill all the fun. So article has a point. StarDock brought it on iteslf by releasing unfinished and untested game. Great game however.

I recommend to wait at least another week. The game is great but it's really buggy. So wait until they iron them out. On the other hand, the game will not be cheaper in that time, so you can buy now and play later :)

Brad, admit it - you made great game but the launch is a total failure. The game is totaly unstable, buggy and rushed 1.05 version , while fixing some stability issues (only some) made game unplayable due to inconsistent behavior of almost all components. So please, please , please take a time and do a "good release" , does not matter how it called 1.1 or 1.5 or 10.0, as long as it stable and reliable. And in the future please consider investing more time in real beta testing.

1.05 crashes less (but still crashes on load and some other cases) and effects disappear much less frequent. However it much worse then 1.0, I do not know why but more strange stuff happens then in original version - stuff you can't buy, trade, equip, strange unit's stats, unclicable resources, having to click several times in combat... From that perspective even 1.0 was less stable but much more playable. So guys, developers, if you reading this - do not rush to
