Actually, my computer runs pretty darn fast. I have no complaints. My only major complaint was that Galciv2 would not run and now it does, so all it well.
Ok, let me just pony up some info: First off, my install of Vista was a clean install, I then install Nvidia's 100.54 drivers over whatever Vista used as native drivers. Galciv2 would not run, only crash to the desktop as it got to the menu screen. Nvidia releases their 100.64 driver. I uninstalled the 100.59 driver using Vista Uninstall control panel and installed the 100.64 drivers. The game still crashed on me. So then I tried using Driver Cleaner to clean out all

Stardock, Can you give us early Vista adopters any news on when GalCiv2 will be able to work on a Vista machine with an Nvidia card? All my games work except this one and its the only one I want to play right now.
I am having the same problem here, both games crash (Galciv2 & DA) running under Vista Home Premium and a Geforce 8800GTS. I have the latest Nvidia driver for Vista installed.
I still want to know when DA games can be posted to the Metaverse. I hope its before the actual release of the game.
I have experianced this also and the auto save game was gone afterwards. It does not seem to be happening with any regularity. Some sessions play smooth with no problems, but some sessions, once the crashing on Auto Save begins....it will not stop until I have restarted the computer. But that games is toast, even past saves when loaded will crash. So I have to start a new game.

Yes, I have trained agents and use then reguarly to get rid of enemy agents, but I can never palce my own.
I had one game lock-up when exiting the game. I needed to do a Cntr/Alt/Del to end the game. I have had two instances of the graphics corrupting when the game auto saves. On both instances however, Alt/Tab the game to the desktop and back seemed to fix it. I cannot place spies, the place agent button does not ever work for me no matter what type of improvment I try to place one on. System: AMD 64 X2 3800+ ASRock Dual 939 board 1GB Muskin RAM Geforce

NO worries here, I am at work all day. I am just hoping that its ready for DL by the time I get home. I finished my last game last night, I am ready to start my 17th game.
I also found this game to be nearly impossible, but after playing a few games, I started learning how to run my civilization so that it was more competitive. And now after 15 games, I am playing on tough level. But what I love it that you can recover from almost a total loss and come back to win the game. But I have been utterly annihilated before as well.
I would like some way to get rid of foreign starbases without going to war. It annoys me when someone build bases in my territory, there should be some way of dealing with foreign starbases that dosent kill the mechanics of Influence/Resource starbases.
