I'm showing version 1.08. I don't think I have the hotfix. With Civ5 coming out in a few days I think I might set this aside for a while. I love this game but the crashing is killing me.

I installed your fix and started a new game. The game crashed again in a tactical battle. I'll add the new files to the same location above. I hope this gets fixed in the next patch. I can't play Elemental anymore until this is fixed. [e digicons]:'([/e] [edit] I added my last save before the crash.
Just had the game crash when I was in a tactical battle. You can find the requested files here: Elemental Files
Damn you Frogboy! Your evil use of awesome screenshots combined with cool game ideas has forced me to pre-order this game now!
I love GalCivII. The game is great. But there is one thing that has always driven me nuts. I know people will say it's my fault and I'm an idiot. I know there's quick load and quick save keys. The thing is- Load and Save game SHOULD NEVER be on the same screen! It's way too easy to go into that screen and load a game and lose the one you are currently playing. I just lost a planet that the UP gave me because of that! This is the only game that I've ever owned where I have that problem. Even a
Well, I never received an email. Is there a list of do's and don'ts that might help us submit valid creations? [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e]
Hmm, I uploaded a kind of cool looking Mr. Spock but it never showed up either. I just assumed there might have been some copyright issues but maybe something else happened?

And it would have to be optional. [e digicons]|-)[/e] [quote who="BoogieBac"
I haven't tried the patch yet, but has an option to pause between state electoral votes been added during the election results? I'm guessing not. [e digicons]:([/e]
Is the guy in post #13 Andrew Jackson?
Yes, that is "Old Hickory" himself!
I wouldn't call myself a programmer, but even I can add a 'press any key to continue' snippet. If I had access to the code I would. Don't get me wrong. I love this game! I just hate the superfast, fly-by ending. Please forgive my venting. :)
I'm sorry to see that no option to pause the election night results was added. That would have been so simple to do. :(
Is there a change log for v1.04 posted somewhere?
:D Great news! Is there a change log somewhere?
CSN1969, I'll guess a young FDR? And here's one I created...
Any update on the status of the next patch and/or whether or not some kind of pause option will be added for the election results?
Looks good. Not too sure about the first one but I'll guess- Richardson, Lieberman and Biden?
Yeah, I like him as well. Just rename him Ross Perot if you don't like him. The resemblance is uncanny.

I just came across a review of The Political Machine on the Wired blog. Another good review! You can see it here: http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/06/review-politica.html
Does the same thing happen to your opponent if you play as John McCain?
In your Political Machine folder find the file prefs.ini. Near the bottom of the screen you will see this: [Unlockables] DemCampSlot1=0 DemCampSlot2=0 DemCampSlot3=0 DemCampSlot4=0 DemCampSlot5=0 DemCampSlot6=0 DrengiVictoryQuickPlay=0 EuropaVictoryQuickPlay=0 RepCampSlot1=0 RepCampSlot2=0 RepCampSlot3=0 RepCampSlot4=0 RepCampSlot5=0 RepCampSlot6=0 USA2008VictoryQuickPlay=0 USACivilWarVictoryQuickPlay=0 Change all
One option I would really like to see is the ability to pause after/before each state result is given. Right now, the results go by too fast for me. If you could be shown a window that showed your last numbers in the state and then given a 'press key to see results' button, that would be ideal. I seem to remember another presidential election game that even had an election night newcast that took you through the results. After all, election night is what it's all about. That's where the suspense
I had a much harder time with George Washington flying around in airplanes, taking out TV ads, appearing on talk shows, etc. than him being Republican. :D
No, a map editor first! We can already make more candidates with the PROVIDED candidate editor!
