For one thing SINS does a lot of ability use and operates on a smaller scale than supreme commander; the only thing it really has in common is zooming ability. And as such, this zooming ability gives the common task - the need to recognize the units when you are zoomed out. What would you recognize better as an icon for trade ship, a dollar sign or whatever squiggly thing they have right now? But I understand that may be there is a compromise or mid

Keep in mind that we have three races to represent. Please look at Supreme Commander. There is no reason to re-invent the wheel. The ships icons should describe the function of the ship - I care less if it has similar shape to ship or not - it is the function that matters. Some of the parameters that can be reflected in the shape: Size (HP), Weapon type and function, Other special functions (like scout), technology level of the ship and so on. Again, p
The problem with basic shapes with this many ships is you are forcing people to learn a little symbol language. Oh! Come on! You have to lean the "little symbol language" anyway, because there is simply no easily recognizable signs for scout or capital ship. And even if it was indeed the problem of learning it, I would still prefer to learn that "little symbol language", but at least I would be able to SEE the ships. Right now, I have great difficulty o
Is it just Stardoc being Ironclad's publisher or is there some higher level collaboration on this game?
I am playing the spy mission (second in campaign?) and I have noticed that my starbase, which suppose to give +1 defence bonuses in all catigories, does not give it to the ships in range. Do the ships need to have some shields in order to recieve bonus? Does it increase only available shield (like if ship has anti-missile shield, then only anti-missile shield gets bonus)? If any of this true, I think the explanation needs to be present in the description of the base upgrade.
That's OK. We still can run the games. As long as you know the issue, we are fine.
where do you see this error? and can you run the gc2launch outside of the SDCentral?
Bump. Just making sure that stardock read this. Please acknowledge.
If by launcher you mean the window with buttons "Play Game", "Manual", "Update Game" and so on, then yes, I can click on the shortcut, which I placed into GameExplorer, and it runs the launcher without problems. Then I click on the "Play Game" and play the game itself.
If I click on run button in SDCentral to run GalCiv2 or the expansion I get a window with the message : "gc2launch.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I have no problem run the GalCiv2 outside of the SDC.
I have the same problem Any help?
Yes, and I am quite sure that it is very easy to change. Just some constant should be 10 times larger or something.
So the negative side is that they can trade them out to my enemy? Are there other negative effects? Can they break the alliance for example by one my ally attacking another my ally? Are there other negative effects? Right now I am stronger and bigger then any of them, and I do not afraid to loose to any of them, what I afraid is that A) if they really trade to someone outside the alliance and B) if they can break from alliance and form their own alliance that will be
I have 3 allies in this game but I am very technologically advanced with respect to them, so what should I do? Should I give up all my techs to them (will they give them to others? can they break the alliance?) Or should I sell it to them for huge amount of money, potentially bankrupting them? What do you think?
My are: The standard ones (often mentioned) 1. Better diplomacy, so that diplomacy is the game withing the game (May be EU type of dipo with peace treaties like they have) 2. Tactical combat Nonstandard, but very important for me: 1. Some map objects which slow down or even stop and accelerate the ship movement, stable wormholes. These things should be placed on map when map is generated, and can not be removed. They should not be just randomly placed, there could be wal
I still have the same problem: edge scrolling is SO SLOW even at 100%, so diagonal scrolling is useless, unless I can scroll at least twice faster.
Are they publishers for GalCiv II in US and Europe?
Do tile bonuses considered as a base production or as a bonus when calculating how much you pay for your manufacturing. All manufacturing bonuses are suppose to be 50% paid, but do tile bonuses considered as bonuses here?
As I guess, in this simulator the attack roll is 1 to maximum, and the defence roll is 0 to maximum. Is this true for the game?

Suppose that two ships both with attack of 1 and defence of 1 are fighting. According to the manual description of the combat, they can not do damage to each other, because they will always roll attack of 1 and defence of 1. Yet, I am sure in the game the combat will be finished. So, what is wrong with manual description? It could be one of the following A) there is always damage at least 1, no matter what . B) the defence roll starts from
Of cause we do not use side scrolling in GalCiv2. But this is only because it is horrible. I would do it still, just because it is more common and I used to it.
