Stardock, are you going to implement anything like the above, or should we just forget about it? I dont mean this in a rude way, I mean it as far as licensing goes and all that.

1. AI 2. Magic system (make diverse and overland spells like MoM) make casting take turns for huge spells. 3. Hero abilities (make diverse units like MoM)
i loved the mom spell of chaos, which spawned random volcanoes in the world and slowly but surely destroyed the landscape
I think stardock is afraid to use things from MoM which is a shame. I wish they would take the good stuff from MoM. The stuff you listed above was great.
Guys please check out master of magic and the wide range of units in tac. battles. Notice how they all have all kinds of different abillities, strengths, weaknesses and things that set them apart. First strike, flying, made of ice... stuff like that
Yeah clickdrag is super nice. The shift arrow thing is UBER slow.
Why in the world would you argue against better tactical combat? Master of Magic had great tactical combat and we dont.
What was great in MoM Every sword gave you 30% chance of scoring a hit (2 layers : number of swords, hit rate). Every shield gave you 30% chance of deflecting a hit Only on that you could act with two manners : improve the percentage, or have more swords/shield. So, when you add 3 swords, what was better ? adding 10% (+1 to hit) or one more ? If you had a hero with 8 swords, it was defini
MOM's tactical battles had magic cruising all over the place. You had your wizard casting spells from his tower (the distance from him increased the cost) and all kinds of other cool factors and considerations. The tactical battle is supppper simple. We might as well have the old galciv battle simulation.
Quoting TLamming, reply 1How about they make the magic system like MOM? That worked incredibly well. I dont understand why we need to reinvent the wheel. Yep it had the best magic system up to date. There have been other games that tried to match MOM to date but they failed and that was due to the Magic system not being up to snuff. Suggestion look at the MOM spell list and copy it or better yet Magic the Gathering

No effects here as well on nvidia.
eff gamestop shop anywhere else. Buy it directly from stardock to give them most of the $'s
Thanks!!
alt-tab with nvidia card also crashes my game How about being able to scroll through your units in the city when you are buying stuff from the merchant
I tried scrolling with the numpad but the unit moves.
Wasnt this how it was in MOM? I think it would be cool and give your heroes that epic feel. They could even still have items and be able to take out large groups of soldiers, etc.
First off, sorry in advance if its already on here, I cant find it in the forum. Is there a way to scroll the map with the keyboard? I find it easier than moving the mouse to the edge of the screen. I read somewhere where it was using asdw but It does not work for me.
Thank you :)

But the reviewers will review the 0-day patched version, or the "gold" one you consider "complete" ? Would you be happy with them reviewing the gold version only? Day 0.
So you get what we are saying when we say the game is not complete then? If you expect it reviewed with day 0, thats the complete game, not pre day 0. Just saying we should no

He explained himself afterword but that one post did not come off too hot.
Profligate - if you're dissatisfied, feel free to return the game.
Come on, Brad. Really? Ok I've read further on and you have finally explained yourself, but on that post alone it seamed awful dismissive. Folks we have to remember that not everyone who buys this game is someone who lurks the forums and knows all there is to know about this
You guys, this is the pre release game we got. I guess its true that "no good deed goes unpunished" Cast your stones after the 0 day patch tonight.
