First off, fantastic game! This game is more complete and fun than most AAA games I've played recently at their official launch (Rome 2, Sim City UGH).
Thank you very much! It means a lot!
How did Capitalism 2 influence the game? I really liked their robust stock market, where you could buy/sell shares, earn dividends, and debt/equity finance. You would take control of a company after 50% owner

I agree that we want to get the most strategic depth out of all of them, but having a few that beginning players can feel safe playing are important. -Scott-
1) I love the game so far.
Yay! Great to hear!
2) Can we get a running list of identified issues that are being worked on? It might cut down on people repeating the same problems. IE UI mispellings, common gripes...
That's a good idea. We're probably going to make a development roadmap this week that we'll share with you.
3) Single Player Campaign - In
We have are planning to have a new version to go into testing tonight and it will go through testing tomorrow. I don't want to commit to a date on when it'll be ready, but the team is very anxious to get it into your hands. The reason we're not releasing it now is that we always want the stability of the game to improve throughout the lifetime of the product, and the best way to ensure improved stability is to do an internal pass before we release it. Thanks!
Checked in. Should be in the next update. Thanks again!
When you have multiple 'special' buildings of the same type ( Hacker Array, Engineering Lab or Offworld Market) it is really awkward that you cannot see the progress of all the buildings.
All buildings work in parallel, so you should see all their work at once.
Loving the game so far, I've never played anything like this game before, and it's been a total blast learning this game! Here is my 2 cents as far as UI stuff goes

The biggest weakness in the UI is imo the event popup area. Right now, all of the text is quite small and white, you cannot simply glance at it and know whats going on. What I'd like to see are some visual queues for the different ev
*I feel like there should be an option for more feedback while playing; new players appear to forget about resources entirely and autobuy themselves into starwars-esque pits where they fall into debt like anikins into the gaping maw of george lucas.
That's something we're looking into. Managing the player's attention is really tough and one of the most important aspects in an RTS. We'll be working on this for quite some time.</
Would Slant Drilling apply to the Scientific factories also?
Yes! Slant drilling is great with scientific! -Scott-
Is there a way that you could try to capture video of this happening? This will help us debug it. Thanks! -Scott-
First of all let me say that I like the game a lot and I care about it. Kudos to Soren and all the team!
Thank you very much! That's fantastic to hear! :)
The use of color and highlighting of the buildings is not colorblind friendly. This makes finding your own buildings hard, more so when you can place buildings anywhere on the map so you can't infer ownership by territory.
Are you playing on a Mac or PC? Thanks! -Scott-
Good catch! I added that to my list. Thank you! -Scott-
Were you playing in the campaign or skirmish? In the campaign, you can lose if the colony shrinks too small. We're going to add a screen showing that feedback in soon, hopefully ready for the next patch. Thanks for the feedback! -Scott-
Someone else has made a list of the cheat keys here: https://forums.offworldgame.com/461430/page/1/#3523602 I'm not sure we want to auto-sell stock. I'll have to talk to Soren about that. There's a cooldown in multiplayer when you sell and buy stock. Thanks for the feedback! -Scott-
The most immediate, major problem is the UI is horrendously unresponsive, ugly, and frustrating to use. In games with several other players it is very common to have a 5 second or longer delay in order to perform any in-game action, which is practically unplayable as a result of the UI being so unresponsive. This really does need to be addressed, and quickly. Most of the actions in this game are performed using menus and clicking buttons, and it is critical that those me
Quoting , quoting post Slant Drilling: Buildings can access best resource deposit in adjacent tile. How does the game calculate which adjacent deposit is "best"? </d
Noted. I added this to my task list. Thanks for the catch! -Scott-
We fixed this. I *think* it'll be in the next version, but it will at least be added in the next patch or two. Thanks for the feedback! -Scott-
Of course we want your feedback! We're glad that it's working on a below-min spec machine. The next update (coming some time this week) will have some improvements that will reduce the interface latency, so performance should be even better. Thanks and keep the feedback coming! -Scott-
Host migration is something that we're working hard to get in as soon as possible, but we are probably weeks away. I added some nagging messages so that the host knows that they're going to kill the game if they quit, but that is obviously not going to fix people rage-quitting. Thanks! -Scott-
I believe we have a fix in for this specific problem in the next patch. Should be coming this week. Let us know if you still see the problem. Thanks! -Scott-
So if I understand this correctly if you have scientific buildings then buyout a scientific player you can still gain the adjacency bonus as both have the same building type?
Yes, that is correct.
