There is a difference between helping the situation, reporting bugs, suggestions on how to fix, and the other end which is bitching and moaning. The latter won't help, so why do it?
I have reported a long list of bugs and issues, here is a blog post summary from 2007: http://www.thomthom.net/blog/2007/08/desktopx-b

I have UAC off on my main system. As I keep doing stuff that makes it pop up. But on my laptop that I just bought I kept it on. I don't do that much to it that triggers the UAC. Then there's the issue of compiling DX gadgets - I'd expect that gadgets compiled with DX3.5 will have problems with UAC? That'd be a problem when sharing them to other users. DX4 seemed to not have issues with UAC though.

Has anyone from SD mentioned anything about DesktopX lately? I just got myself a notebook with touch screen - starting to get some ideas for a touch interface built in DX, but it'd be nice to use a DX4 version instead of the old DX3 - especially since it runs Win7.

Got the icon working now. OD has tried to reference Program Files (x86) instead of the actual 64bit path. and yes - I did drag the correct 64bit link to the dock - seem to be the OD read it incorrectly. When I updated the path to the ps.exe the icon updated itself correctly.

I got CS5 installed. I added the suite's shortcuts to the dock. However, the PS icon isn't using the icon that belongs to ps.exe. For some reason it uses a custom one. Clicking Reset Icon doesn't work. Can I can't find a way to pick an icon that is part of an .exe file. All the other CS suite apps's icon display fine.

When it was mentioned a couple of years ago, PPC was pretty much done, as far as I remember it being said. Now its been a while, and I notice software starts to drop PPC support. Will PPC support be kept? No way to get my grubby hands on a beta? [e digicons][/e] (if PPC works but Intel don't - no problem for me)

Yes, I'm aware of that. But some years ago there was talk about OSX. Apparently it was working on the old PowerPCs, but got delayed when the new Intel Macs came. Since then there's been silence. So I was wondering if OSX is still being developed, or if it has been shelved? And I am also interested if future Linux support has been considered or planned.

I'm not sure what the issue is with the object browser - not something I've mentioned along with my reports of the script editor font. I'm only aware of the script editor font issue. Which would not be an issue if the propery page that let you set the script editor font would remember the setting. I wonder if that entry in the changelog refer to this issue. Seeing how we're quite a few people affected it's odd if it can't be reproduced.
The MP Mac client has been something of a pain. We have a PPC version running but then the Intel macs appeared. Recent developments mean there are now more macs around Stardock so it looks good for that to finally be released this year. As for Linux, I don't recall talking about that myself. Thinkdesk, I honestly don't know.
Ooooh! My mac is an old PPC! But mac version will not be releas
