In my cases, the Done button is always available.

To help clarify the situation: 1. I am using the same Transport each iteration of the Invasion, 2. The Transport has the Default troop level - 2500? 3. Every iteration generates the same numeric results in the Invasion Result Dialogue - same losses for both sides. 4. Each colony invasion differs in the number of iterations required. 5. I am using Tidal Waves as well as troops. I have to rebuild WinXP this weekend - damned SP2 <img src="h
Thanks for the reply Lucky Jack. I have and do play GC1 - I did the beta for that too But in reply to you, no that not what I'm saying - what I have encountered is that I have to go through the motions of invading a colony multiple times - each time the Invasion is reported as successful, I lose either 500 or 590 troops but I don't get the colony window or control of
I have enountered this behavour as well - a system with 3 colonies belonging to another race. I Invade the first one but can never seem to get the range to invade the other two colonies - even after another 20 turns have past.
Interesting situation found with the taking of planets belonging to other races. What I have been finding is that I have to invade a Planet more than once before actually getting a result that shows up outside the Invasion routine. For 1 particular planet I tried to invade 7 times with the same Transport over 2 turns. The Invasion dialogue shows up, choose Invasion type and then go onto the Outcome dialogue and have it update with a Result of Invasion but w
I don't think its auto-colonising as i only ever send my colony ships via auto-pilot directly the the planet.
I am in favor of a research que.
I am still getting the colony crash problem with 0.11b - infrequent now but still... You can change GC resolution in the prefs.ini in the \Data folder
Heres my laptops results at running 0.11b version: Title: ~27 Main: 2.2 - 5.3 Ship Design: 9.9 - 11.5 And its as slow as the numbers hint at Laptop specs are: CPU: Intel Celeron 2.4GHz RAM: 512MB PC2700 - 448 used by system and 64 by IGP Video: Radeon IGP 345M (RS200M) 64MB Display: 1024x768 @ 100Hz (32 bit) Sound: Conexant AMC Audio DirectX: 9.0C OS: XP Pro SP1
Yeah happend here too - I got it back by Alt-Tabbing out and then Into the game and its working fine now. Only cost seems to have been that the anomalies are now a white mess - maybe the Alpha Map of the image?
Well I'm afraid SmartException did not create a CRA file when I next SDC.
Will do - XP Pro is my OS
Ok, will give that a go.
Yip, Reboot dosn't help, and now I also have a qttask error dialogue that comes up for every drive I have; which was not occurring before this last SDC update.
Nakor, its neither - 16/03/2005 02:46am 454,656 bytes Version 2.0.0.1 I'll try a reboot just incase thats whats required.
I can no longer run SD Central after its last update. I am now getting an Entry Point error and it then exits back to Desktop. Here is a screenie of the error message - What is the best way to recover from this?
My monitor is 19" which is why I comment that its not very practical at this resolution.
Here is a screenie of the main window of GC2 at a resolution of 1920x1440 - it is very compressed to get it hosted so its not as good as it was... Link
This seems only to happen to ships built at the Colony, ships sent to the colony that are instructed to enter orbit show up ok.
In my last game I got a bit ahead of myself and had a colony ship that did not have the range to get to the next available habitable planet. To stop it coming up every turn for action I set it to Sentry. When my technology had caught up, I could not change the Colony ship from Sentry to anything else, including moving to a Planet. The ship summery showed a destination, but alas the ship stayed right where it was and displayed Sentry as its current orders.
I just noted in last game that there maybe a bug with the Ship Range. The situation I observed was that I had a colony at the edge of my races range, the colony was lost to another race - influence - but I was able to send a colony ship beyond the lost colony to a new planet that was clearly now way beyond my range - thus it appears I was still getting the range extension benefit of the lost colony.
It dosn't help me to zoom out, I don't get an icon representing the sensor drone(s) - too small to have an icon?
I find in some games I am getting the Ship out of Range every turn, but I don't think I have any ships Out of Range. It would be useful if the Dialogue Box also allowed for the Ship that is the reason for the dialogue to be linked and thus be able to become the cursor focus - for example a second button "Go To". I find that the survey ship in these games is finding lots of Sensor Drones and I find these almost impossible to see and thus locate if I don't ha
I have noticed that larger star systems do not always display all the planets of the system. Clicking on a star gives a summary of the planets, but as in the image Link the two systems Sander and Skowbo both have 5 planets but neither shows 5 planets - Skowbo shows 4 and Sander only 3. In the case o
Ok, scratch the Build queue - I didn't crash this time after I didn't set a build queue immediately after establishing a colony...
