The pirates are very difficult to deal with 5 hours inwhen playing on a big map since they can strike anywhere and will eat anything other than a fully upgraded starbase for breakfast. On big maps it takes far too long to respond effectivley to attacks. Seriously, i believe the pirates get way too much research buffing. Level 1 pirate desolators with 350 missle damage? Too far. I think it would be more fun to just put a slightly increased number of ships in the raids than to increase damage

First of all, Lucifer is not a god, think of him as a pimp. He does the same kind of thing, but deals in souls instead of money. What do you mean by "good systems?" Ive got a new laptop with4gb ram and a top notch processor Unfortunatley its got one of those shitty new integrated video cards by intel so its lacking in that. On all around medium graphics it absoloutley never lags on 1x though if i do anything over 2x on a big map it lags horribly Btw, how much of an impact does planet detail make? And yay for pirates! (my complements on the new color pallete, HUGE improvement) :)
You know?, i think it might be a good idea to make a massive map for the next update. You could put the entire distant stars sector in it. Like on the map in the lore section, but playable. Just an idea.
