Should I Uninstall Start8 Before Installing A Newer Version? in Start8 Stardock Forums

Hello All!! [e digicons]:bebi:[/e] First of all let me say I am LOVING Start8. Stardock deserves all the credit and attention they are getting due to creating such a simple yet totally necessary app for Windows 8! :) My questin is... should I uninstall Start8 before installing a newer version? Up to now what I have been doing is downloading the newer versions and just running the install but I am afraid this will leave behind old "stuff" from any

I am curious.. do you mean like when you right click something and select "Pin to Start" ? Or do you mean the windows task bar (the one at the bottom of the screen that spans the length of the desktop)? The reason why I ask is you called it Start8 taskbar. I was not aware that Start8 had a task bar, but rather a start menu. Thanks!

An Idea For Another Stardock App in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

Windows 8 is highly lacking in customization of colors. Especially font. For example, the window title font is always black so if you make your color theme dark it's very hard to see the text. How about you guys making an app to further customize colors, fonts, etc? I would definately buy it! M

There is a workaround for the issue of not being able to name/rename groups. Here is what I do: 1. right-click the Start8 menu and select Configure Start8... 2. in the Configuration dialog click Control 3. change Start button shows Start8 menu to Start button shows the Windows 8 menu 4. click the Start button to open the Windows 8 Start Menu 5. name/rename groups 6.&nbs

Somewhat Major Bug In Start8 in Start8 Stardock Forums

I just purchased Start8 about an hour ago and first off let me say that I love it! Unfortunately I have just discovered a significant bug. :( I have Start8 setup so that when I click on the Start button I get the Windows 8 style menu (set to large). When I go to the Start Menu and I try to either name or rename a group the Start Menu suddenly closes with no warning. I know it's an issue with Start8 because if I try to name/rename a group in the "classic" Windows 8 Start
