Now before I go into this, please let me excuse if this comes off incoherent. I'm not too great on testing software. I have noticed that there seems to be a bug in the way tourism is calculated. I had a game where I was breaking even, income wise. I then saved that game, and exited the game. Upon loading it again, my tourism income was cut in half - I was now losing money. I then saved the game again, exited the game, and on reload tourism income had dropped even further.

Hmm....Thanks for the tips guys. I tend to evaluate the planets on a case by case basis now, however. For example, if a low quality planet has a 300% bonus production tile, then that planet becomes a production planet - etc. Morten

So, I have gotten Galciv II now, after having played Galciv a lot, but stopped a year or so ago. In Galciv we kinda had this "rule": Don't build on planets below PQ 15. What do you guys do in Galciv II? Do you build on everything you come across, or is there a similar rule of thumb for Galciv II? Cheers

So, I had alt-tabbed out and then back in to GalCiv 2, when I noticed this weird graphic after scrolling the main map a bit: hxxp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Asmodean_dk/Galciv.jpg When this graphic is near the edge of the screen, it changes into this: hxxp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Asmodean_dk/Galciv2.jpg Sorry for the x's, but the forum software doesn't seem to parse these URL's correctly. Obviously I don't know if

So, I had just alt-tabbed out of GalCiv to browse this forum, and then alt-tabbed back into the game, when i noticed this weird graphic: hxxp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Asmodean_dk/Galciv.jpg I have no idea if the alt-tabbing had anything to do with it, or not. When that image is near the edge of the screen, it changes to this: hxxp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Asmodean_dk/Galciv2.jpg Advancing turn, accessing planet scre

You know what, it's in poor taste and bad practice to contradict the developers who have the source code right in front of them. <img src="htt

I advanced one turn, and at first, everything seemed normal, then just as I expected the yellow research thingy to drop down along the left edge of the screen, the game crashed to desktop. I have recently fallen in love with Stardock's Object Dock Plus. Now, I know that the UI for GalCiv II is more or less set in stone already, but I would still like to ask this: Why not make the UI customizable ala ODP? Would it be hard to do? Stardock already owns the technology, so I guess what I'm asking is: What would it require for that technology to be utilized in a game? In many games, I find myself only using some of the contro

A dock icon with the logo for http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ I use this program a lot, and I would like to have my tray dock show a beautiful icon for it. But unfortunately I have no art skills. So could someone make a snazzy icon from the logo from that site. I would be very grateful. Asmodean
