That's what OD does. It doesn't use hardware acceleration, it relies on CPU power.
Kona, have you given any thought to building your own? For the money, you can get a much more powerful machine that way. It's not difficult if you can handle using a screwdriver.
Sure it would! Wouldn't it be slick to have animated icons for regular OD objects? A spinning globe for your web browser, a spraying paint can for your painting software, and so on. There are all kinds of fun possibilities that would open up.

All you can do is change the image, you can't use it as a shortcut or nuthin'.

I notice that the ObjectDock icons I've submitted are found when I search for them by my author name (digital_trucker), but they don't show up in the normal listing. Why is this?
...but one I can't seem to find the answer to. Is it possible to use transparent backgrounds in userpics? If so, how? I've tried trial-and-error, and so far have only managed to achieve error.

For instance, with Trillian. I always have Trillian running with a taskbar icon. Is there any way to hook an icon to something running in the windows taskbar? Or even better, is there a way to hook an icon to re-show the windows taskbar without having to navigate through ObjectDock properties?
