This will be the last time I bring this to your attention. I've contacted Stardock sales multiple times. I've posted here before. Needless to say, I don't have the Limited Edition of Elemental that I paid for within days of it being available. The game came out over three weeks ago. I was patient. Not anymore. If I don't have a response to this simple request, I will never again pre-order a Stardock game and I will most certainly not order a Limited Edition of any game Stardock

While I know that this news is devastating for some (namely those that were laid off - and perhaps a certain someone with hopes of having two games developing at once), it is truly good to hear that it won't effect your future plans for Elemental. I see a diamond there, Brad, hidden in the rough. I'm blown away by your humility and honesty and truly believe that it will prove to win back those that may have doubted. I can already see the tide turning back in to Stardock's favor.

Oh, and good luck to all those affected by this. I'm sorry that bad decisions (most likely not of their doing) led them to lose their jobs. I've been there and it sucked. The good news is that in the long run, it was all for the best, so please, PLEASE don't lose hope. You're in our thoughts, former Stardock employees. May life bring you better opportunities.

This seems to contradict what you were saying about "Our income doesn't rely on games" and "The possible poor performance of sales won't affect our work to fix Elemental" (I've obviously paraphrased here). Does this mean that your games studio may shutdown or that things are worse than you alluded to? Will we truly have a fixed Elemental one day or will Stardock end up folding? I'd HATE to see that happen, especially since I absolutely love some of your games, but I'd rather move forward know

Why not? I've been patient, but waiting almost 2 weeks to receive my copy is RIDICULOUS. I'm well within reason to ask for a refund at this point, BUT I WANT MY LIMITED EDITION.... Frogboy, what's a guy gotta do to get his copy? I've already contacted your sales department and was told it was "on its way". And that was this past Monday.

Frogboy, I have faith in you and your team that this will all work out. I really appreciate your honesty and commitment to turning this in to a positive experience. I, for one, love the game and while it may need some extra love, I'll be here through thick and thin. LONG LIVE STARDOCK!

Oh wow, I thought I was the only one. I'm so glad to know that I'm not. I came to the conclusion that there are things I'm missing that a tutorial would/should include and that I should just wait, but if it's something someone can explain, then I'll keep at it. I'm just very glad to see that I'm not the only one.... Anyone? Help?

Frogboy, Stardock, The last two patches have SIGNIFICANTLY improved my game's performance. My M11x is definitely churning at about 30fps on max video settings. Thank you for that. I will echo other sentiments that there should be a more thorough tutorial of all the nitty gritty as even after playing for the past few hours, I still don't REALLY know what's going on. (The same feeling I had in beta, but I just played the game to see where it was and how it was coming along, really - bet

Okay, I'll give credit where credit is most certainly due. That patch fixed my issues for the most part. It's not SUPER fast, but it's certainly playable now. Thank you Frogboy and the Stardock development team. Now that I've played this game for the past few hours, I can honestly say that this game is ready for primetime. I know you'll work tirelessly to fix the rest of the niggling little issues, but as of now, the game is pretty damn awesome. Let's just hope that it's reviewe

@ Jeslijar You're focusing WAY too much on the numbers and not on the actual performance. Please watch video of the M11x on Youtube and how well it handles just about everything. Empire: Total War is definitely CPU heavy and it runs just fine with medium to high settings (30-40fps). I crush Supreme Commander 1 AND 2 with it. Well, maybe not crush, but they run well eno

@ Jeslijar I appreciate your response, but as I said before, this "netbook" (I wouldn't classify it as such) handles every game I've thrown at it - including other "CPU-heavy" games - and it has performed admirably. I think the problem I'm having is mostly memory-leak driven, but it could also just be poorly optimized. You don't sound terribly familiar with the M11x, b

Ah, thank you, DeliJoe. I've been researching my issue for the past half hour and it has only strengthened my fervor. I'm certain that this game should run better than it does. It is not my computer.... Please fix this.

How? Why? I can play so many other games with all the details on high! :( I don't understand why this game would run slower than Crysis, Empire: Total War, Starcraft 2, Borderlands, Fallout 3, Dragon Age...you name it. All of them have run smoothly at 30+ FPS and this one won't? Mr. Frogboy, please don't tell me that...

Hi all (Frogboy), I'm really, really trying to get in to this game, but it runs SO. FREAKING. SLOW. that I just can't get in do it. I'm running an Alienware M11x and it runs just about everything else very well. I was hoping the speed would improve moving out of beta and in to retail, but it hasn't. It's the best M11x you can get (with 8gb of RAM, etc) and it just barely moves this game. Every action takes a couple seconds and it makes everything unbearable. Here are my system specs:<

To all of these forum goers that continue to whine and criticize....PLEASE STOP. Most of you seem entirely ignorant of the way BETAS work. THIS IS NOT A DEMO. THIS IS NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT. I've been in a number of Betas, most of them in which the developers weren't NEARLY as communicative or involved with the testers, and they all turned out significantly better than the last beta run were. You all should have seen World Of Warcraft before launch. You would've sworn it would go down

My advice: BUY IT! This game is really starting to turn in to something and I can almost guarantee that it will be nothing short of fantastic upon its release. Take Master of Magic, give it a serious face lift, add customizable factions and heroes and a proven developer and you only scratch the surface of Elemental. Plus, your money will help fuel the development costs and can only make this game better. /fanboyism off

Agree with most of your points. I've had some issues with the HUD and UI myself. It feels like too much work. Definitely needs streamlining, but I think Stardock is aware of this (at least I think Frogboy is....)

Frogboy and the rest of the Elemental development team, I've been a lurker here on the Beta forums since Beta 1B (ish) and have done my best to play each build (sometimes very, very difficult - haha!). I have to hand it to you all, this game is really starting to come together. It feels like a perfect spiritual successor to one my all-time favorites, Master of Magic (I know this is what you set out to do; in other words, you've nailed it). Y
