I would go as far as saying that there needs to be either a link to a page of resources in one of the main navigation panels, or, a la deviantart, a paragraph on each skin page about the app with an obvious link to the associated homepage.

hi Neoen. Basically, for every skin section you see here, there is a program you will need to download. Many are free, others you need to pay for (some of the developers do this for a living you see ). But even the shareware ones will have a free, often time or feature limited demo. So, to use Beaqtnik skins, you will need to download the program Beatnik, to se Windowblinds skins,

Thanks very much Hell dragon that's what I was looking for Seems like it'll need a bit of work before I can get it to do exactly what I want, but that's what web designs all about eh? Thanks again
OK,. I know how to do this in javascript, but I wnat to try to make sure that my site is accessible to all those who have JS disabled... As far as I can see this is not going to be possible atm... anyhow here's what I want... Basically, the javascript function window.open allows you to set attributes to not show menubars, scrollbars and the like, and to set a size for the document - ideal for a small pop-up window showing an individual photo... can I popup a window of a certain szie min

Here's a great tutorial on skinning winamp: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp2x/dev/skins/ Open up your favourite winamp skin (wsz files are just renamed zip files, so change the extension to zip, and uncompress the file, extract the bitmpas to a new directory, take a peek at them in your favourite graphics editor!). If you don't have a favourite graphics editor yet, try The Gimp: (it's free!) http://www.gimp.org/win32/ Read the gimp page before you downlioad,
NextSATRT IS compatable with litestep! I'm not sure abour DX, I shouldn't imagiune it was, as it relies heavily on explorer I think.... I prefer NS.... the interface is intuitive, not just the desktop functions, but the underlying structure is a GUI too, rather than Litesteo, which is all fiddling in text files. If you decide to go with litestep, make sure you read the documents first : http://docs.litestep.com/ Try them all, see what suits!

Hi Cam! Welcome to the wonderfukl wordl fo skinnign! Firstly, for the icons you need a program called "IconPackager" Try here: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/ For ICQ skins you need ICQ+ (ICQ Plus). Try here: http://www.icqplus.org/ Download and install each of these, and read the accompanying documents to learn how to install the skins! Any more problems, don't hesitate to ask.... Heh, what a way to be greeted when you come back from away for a while.... Well, a big thanks to boxxi and treetog for their prompt action! Let it be known that I do not appreciate someone taking credit for my work! However, also let it be known, that I have contacted twinware (and not with a file for me to "have his advice on"!) and told him that he should ask permission next time, as I'm almost always gonna say yes. I also said if he wanted to send e the file, I'll t
AT home, I'm still using a P75 (running at 100Mhz) with 64Meg Ram..... yawn.... Work is P3 450, but still only 64Meg RAM!
I have to disagree here and say I've seen a lot better unofficial wallpapers, and some of the snaps at the unofficial sites (http://www.theonering.net being a noteable example) make better wallpapers.... all MHO of course
I'm so sorry Chaz, that is such a bummer. Am sure you'll come back stringer than before!
