Solitair: Thats the problem, Bush is the ONLY President in history to support embryonic stem cell research, but it has been said so often that he doesnt that people believe it. What he is against is federally funding stem cell research where the stem cells are taken from aborted embryos. This makes alot of sense, as people will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for embryonic stem cells, and it seems the last thing you'd want is a society where a woman can abort her pregnancy and get ri

I design cell phone towers for a living, from the comfort of my home. I'm pretty good at it, with about 6 years experience in my current field. One of the nice things I can offer clients by basing myself at home is 24/7 response to their needs. About 90% of my work comes in after everyone else's work day, with project completion times targeted at start of business the next day. I now have clients all over the US, and as each quarter comes and goes I find myself with another client. An

I've run a few skinning sites in my time. From a Super moderator at Neowin to one of the original founders of Aqua-Soft, my journey through the skinning community has been long and varied. Now I run a site called Aero-Soft.com, a spin off of Aqua-Soft.org. Instead of emulating the look of OSX on WindowsXP, now I emulate the look of Longhorn on WindowsXP. It's a good site, small but growing. Here's a few things I've seen there recently that I recommend people not do to the webmaster of a forum, b

Blocked research? I'd like to see where Bush BLOCKED research. He didnt federally fund certain lines of embryonic stem cell research, but I dont remember him actually pushing for a BAN on these these lines, which ARE still open to the private sector. If I remember, it was the last Democratic President that BLOCKED all embryonic research. I think Democrats are confused...

Perhaps this is an "October surprise" for many people; President Bush has taken the unlikely step of becoming the first President in history to open the doors of Federal laboratories to embryonic stem cell research. Obviously an attempt to win voters in the upcoming election, President Bush has caused an increase in Federal funding in stem cell research from $0 in 2001 to over $24.8 million dollars in 2004. And there is no cap set on how high this funding could go. No other President

The real surprise is that during debate #3, Kerry is going to bring up North Korea and Iran again, claiming that Bush has done nothing. Bush will turn to the camera and say that he wanted to be the first to announce that Kim Jong Il has been assasinated along with the Iranian leaders, and American special-ops now run the countries. At this point Senator Kerrys head will explode on camera and President Bush will once again address the American public by saying "I have now removed three

Just a shot in the dark here, but Uzza disobeyed God. Under Judeo-Christian beliefs, to disobey God is to turn your back on his will, seperating you from God. Without God, there is nothing but death.

Disclaimer: These are my beliefs, and are not an attack on your beliefs. Pretend it's 10PM, work for the day is done, and a big group of us have just hit an all night diner. The coffee is good and fresh pie is on the menu. I'll be chain smoking Camels, but its a big table, so if you dont want to sit too close thats ok... Recently Ive read some disturbing things concerning God. People come up with arguements to disprove God, or to say that God doesn't exist and it makes me wonder

I want to make this available for everyone that would like to commemorate Christopher Reeve's passing. It was made by a friend of mine, Y/C, some years ago. I never found a real use for it until today:: You can find the wallpaper here: Sosumi Superman wallpaper Mirror link: <a href="http://www.aero-soft.com/z

dharmagrl: Thanks for the hearty welcome, Ive been watching your blog for awhile now. I dont spank my children very often any more and when we do we follow rules my wife and I thought up before we had kids: 1.) We never spank when we are angry. Spankings are not a parents chance to take out their anger or to revenge themselves upon a bad child, but as a memorable punishment that drives home the seriousness of the wrongdoing being punished. 2.) We only give as many swats

The problem is parents dont beat their kids anymore. Kids were alot more respectful when they were afraid of a good beating. ;) Seriously, I dont beat my kids, but they are very well behaved because my wife and I vowed early on to establish firm boundries with swift and consistant punishments. My children know exactly what their boundries are, what is unacceptable behaviour, and what will happen if they cross the line. They also know they are loved unconditionally and that

In an article to the NY TImes, Senator Kerry claims that terrorism is similar to gambling and prostitution in that it is seen as little more than a "nuisance" I don't know what context this was in, but if anyone can link me to text of the actual article I would appreciate it. I'd like to actually read what he said before I comment on this. *************************************** FOUND IT: ''We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not th

I didnt wait all night in the garage, but I was able to leave the window blinds open to see what was going on outside as I caught up on this weeks DVR shows. When I saw the lights I exited through my darkened garage then popped the outdoor lights on. Digital camera is a good idea, Ill keep it close tonight (its a 3 day weekend, I dont think this is over yet).

The sign survived the night thanks to a little vigilance...about 3AM a car stopped and I stepped out of the garage. I cant say for certain that they were going to take the sign, but it seems strange that once I came into the light they drove off. The battle continues.

I live in The Woodlands, just north of Houston. For an idea of the area, you can check Link . And now we're at war with someone that dislikes Bush/ Cheney - they keep stealing our yardsigns. It happened between 4am and 11am this morning... all the Bush/ Cheney yard signs dissappeared. No other politically oriented yar

I was trying to be lighthearted, but I guess there is no pleasing everyone. Kerry said the troops are his kids...Teresa is his wife...she calls the American public "scumbags"...she hasnt been seen in the media lately... ->Insert HUGE Al Gore SIGH here.

Kerry's soft, he's been pampered by his aristocratic lifestyle. Sure, he's probably familiar with shooting himself in the foot , but Bush would have the upper hand mano a mano. Of course this would only work if Star Trek "fight music" played during the entire event.

Fishy...fish...fishing...doesnt Dan Rather like to fly fish? I smell a conspiracy! (J/J) I hate to jump in and say I believe this fully, but it wouldn't surprise me.
