I dont have a problem with the rating theory, however, the following improvements could be made: 1) any registered user could rate 2) the skinners should be able to see the ratings (ppl say the ratings are to help the skinners, but if we dont have access to them then that isnt really true) 3) ratings should only influence whether the skin is shown or not after 3 or 4 ratings. hi, i have found a recurring problem with the wallpapers section: i submit a wallpaper, it shows up, and then a few hours later its no longer on the site what just happened now is that my wallpaper was on the main page between sunset for WallPapers and circus for WallPapers. it has now been replaced with Pill Pop for WallPapers. My wallpaper isnt anywhere on the wallpaper download pages, but it is in my skins section (http://scripts.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?AuthorID=

each to their own ive tried 2k and XP, and find xp far more stable, hasnt crashed once in over two months. I cant comment and the programs you have used because I havent tried em on XP. One final point, XP is a beta, in other words, its still buggy, wait till the final is out then try it

this is what happened with me 1) downloaded desktopX 2) downloaded some good looking skins 3) had em installed for 5 mins 4) found it unusable cause although it looks nice it just isnt functional 5) uninstalled it 30mins later 6) installed winxp for the real XP feel

i think the 100 downloads thing is a bad idea, people will just download skins just because they will get points, this can be misleading to the author, i get a buzz when i see people have downloaded my wallpapers, but, i would be unsure if people are downloading them because they like them, or if they just want points

right, im gonna be different, use Ulead Photoimpact - look at my wallpapers to see what you can do with it. This is an easy package to get to grips with, but it also has lots of powerful features if you have a poke around, lots of good filters. It all depends on what type of wallpapers u want to make, if u want to make mainly 3d stuff then this package isnt for you!
