Codec packs tend to cause issues with Deskscapes. Check out the guide here to see if one of the pack codecs is interfering: https://www.stardock.com/products/DeskScapes/faq.asp#troubleshooting
Can we get some background on what else is going on? Is this new? Is this out of the blue? After a reinstall? An initial install? Installed a while back, and just now having issues? Made any system changes recently? You know the drill.
