Yeah... I felt kind of silly not knowing about the pro MR rune setup, but I hardly ever get to play mid so I think its excusable. Thing is, they're not just nerfing the MR but buffing the alternative Mpen rune setup I think, so who knows how effective it will be in the future to run full MR... specially when you get a surprise Midgot thrown at you.

*Warning* Hopefully I'm the only one who's experienced this bug but just in case I wanted to warn you guys about it. The other night I was playing with my south east asian buddies and picked Amumu for jungling... and thought I picked the Amumu masteries. Started the game with 515 in gold. Had been fooling around with a utility build with extra starting gold for another champ and guessed I had left it on that accidentally so I had a nightmare game. N
@Krazi Thanks for saying that! I thought maybe I was just not doing it right on the bottom and top... It was nice playing him pre level 30 cause you'd occasionally have an AP who was scared of taking mid and then I'd get to play him. But yeah nowadays, not many good opportunities to make full use of my crabby friend but I'm hoping somehow that some more AP top/bots/junglers sneak into the meta someday.

Krdax, what Pacov said and also keep in mind: Your opponents will have more masteries and better runes than you... which leads to early advantage even if you play as well as them which you probably won't... which leads to early kills for them and early deaths for you... or you can just hide under your tower which leads to them free farming and more kills for them later and more deaths for your entire team... The original jungle hotfix that went live Saturday didn't have a patch. According to Morello, they have mechanics in place that would allow them to tweak things again if they needed to without patching. Its done on the "server side" or some crap that you would probably understand but I don't have a clue about. I imagine the patch that came through could have been a thousand other things but probably not another jungle change unless it was a really major one. <

Volibear Patch Thoughts: Vbear will not only be my first instant new champ buy, but I'll be grabbing the skin bundle as well. A thunder bear with armor? Its as if the Riot staff went into my dreams Inception style to figure out my ideal champ. Or they just ripped off that one movie with the bears that wore armor and kicked ass. I think 50-50 chance of it being either way... Not sure whether the laning passivity changes or the jungle changes will mix
@Krdax Cho is a solid choice from what I've seen. Great solo top, jungler, had one give me issues at mid before... hell, with this new "everyone can be a support meta" he's probably great in either position on bottom. Having a versatile champ that can play any position and be built damagey or tanky is fantastic to have in your aresenal, specially when you're starting off and really don't want to be switching things up each game more than you have to.
Yeah, I was up late playing... so tired... Yes, all the masteries are reset. There is no more balance according to a very good team I hooked up with who had a head start playing a few post patch games before I did. "Every champ feels like they are UP or OP with the new masteries." And I couldn't argue with them... hopefully its just that some people are quicker to adapt than others so we'll see. @Aragorn Appreciate the tip man, but I'm aware
Played some games with Darkliath today and it was fun. Shj did well, i was up and down. I was playing Urgot one game and I swear to God I had a global taunt ability that would have made Veigar and Teemo totally jealous. Think Dark might have been 5/0 at one point from killing people who wanted to gank and tower dive me.
