Jerk is correct, most of the people following the game preordered from Stardock so we won't be able to play until tomorrow. Since there are no people online, you got automatically put against three computers. They are A.I., even if they names seem like something a player would choose. The term "RPG elements" can be deceptive, Demigod doesn't have the depth of rpg's and only few persistent elements, the cream of RPG's, at the moment. I still encourage you to try the game, it's going to be amazing and only get better, but you might be in for a bit of a (pleasant) surprise. It's a refreshing style of gameplay, starting back with DoTA then HOSK, and I hope it becomes a genre or at least a sub-genre.

Torn between Unclean Beast and Oak and my mate between Queen of Thorns and Regulus (or however you damn spell it). We'll see once we mess around tomorrow. Who knows, might end up changing our picks. We'll have to see how the other heroes have changed and make our final choices before we choose a side to play together on.
Asked this before without much response, starting to worry me. Someone just please tell me that you can join ranked matchess with preset groups like HOSK, DoTA, and Dawn of War 2. Tell me it doesn't just search for a game and automatically toss you in there without the ability to manually search for games at least and tell your mate which game to join. I can only imagine someone walking into Gamestop to preorder a game then going back home to hug their knees while naked in the shower, wondering if they will ever get the game they just preordered. You'll be fine! Hopefully, anyways. We'll see tomorrow. :D
I'll keep an eye on your to see how you grow and develop. Looking for a competitve team that isn't a military organization and that knows how to have fun. Usually I pick up on the fun people to play with and generally look for them whenever I romp online. If I find a good group, I spend time with them before finally deciding if I they are a group I can play with. So here's looking forward to seeing you and your guys online!

We were just talking about this in another thread. Hopefully it gets patched in within the first month, it's a huge part of competitve play. You really learn a lot by watching replays so you can see the mistakes everyone made (to learn from) and see exactly what extremely good players are doing right.
It's through some less than perfect process and it's not even that good. It was posted in a thread a bit back, if I recall correctly demigod saves a replay automatically to some random folder and continues to overwrite it so you'd have to rename or remove the replay every time you want to save one. Fraps isn't perfect either (As it only shows your own point of view), but until a proper replay viewer is in place that's likely what I'll be using.

Beta testers technically already have their keys I believe, so regardless they will be the first to download. Impulse should be fine since it's a downloading client; basically that's all people use it for and it's what it does. You can always buy a new one dirt cheap. The Nvidia 7800, which is the min spec I believe, should be like 15 bucks now hehe. You can get a decently better one for under $100. For pc gaming you really need to keep video cards updated, if nothing. Sorry! ^-^

You should be able to run it perfectly fine. I believe your video card supports shader 4.0+, if I recall correctly.
