I've retreated once. The first that retreated made others panic and the enemy got enough free turns to kill them all. Luckily my sovereign made the cast a spell escape.

1. Keep them stationary, not sure if a town is required. The time is quite long, so you first think they don't heal at all. 2. Move out of the town first, casting doesn't work properly when garrisoned. 3. I think they don't need to be unless the bonus specifically mentions it. I.e. +25% settlement food production.

I think you can't sell stuff that adventurers and such have on them when hired. Probably there to prevent abuse or something. Could it be that you can't trade those items either?

The idea and features of this game are like custom tailored for me. Totally enjoying it even though it clearly has bugs and glitches and I suffer from bad performance (win7 64bit & ati). Get some rest and continue on it! It's good to remember that those who enjoy the game are playing it, rather than hanging around here. And also every launch seems to have a fair share of naysayers. Borderlands, Modern warfare 2? Oh the shitstorm.

You should get what you choose in the breakthrough window. Also, likely/unlikely stuff won't necessarily be there the next time.

Just because it doesn't look "realistic" doesn't mean it's light on your machine. For your information this game is very heavy on polygons compared to something like the civ series. Cities are detailed to the level of settlers, they have a lot going on. But yes I too hope we get some improvement in performance on way or another. I pretty much have to play on cloth map.

Have you updated to the latest version? The cost is more balanced now. No there is no way of building them with resources. Also you can buy all the stuff that you have "researched". Horses and wargs are a resource, like fertile ground and mines. Search for them, build a city near, build on them. The major drawback is that food is a valuable resource, and you can't build huts without it. So eventually you can only get lvl 1 outposts that can't have powerful buildings. All buildings are

You're best off making your own decisions. Is this the kind of game you like? There isn't really a rival. Civ goes in its own genre after all. Haters hate. And I'd see the day0 patch. It is how they intended the game to be seen in the first place.

We Europeans kind'a get the better deal here. There's no sense in waiting, I can just go to sleep and have a day0 patch with my morning coffee. Ahh the joy. So good night and good gaming :E
