and this helps us how? Good to know, but we need game mechanics, not future tech. [e digicons]:borg:[/e] One day we will have a very good AI, possibly unbeatable... but untill then, lets make sure the limited one is as good as it can be

so when is this hotfix?
Someone needs to make something like the Banlist that Warcraft 3 Dota users use.... Any programmers up to the task?
Entrenchment is very worth it. You can finally leave your empire on conquests with starbases garding your flank and empire. The balance is better (with the new update :) ) and 90% of online games are entrenchment only games. Well worth $10.
actually, i have had it go both ways, one where the Marauder had to hold, one where it went with the fleet. Just know that there is a bug with phase gates on starbases - they will not work on the sun, only on bases with a planet by it. Welcome to the world of phase space... may you dodge and roll well!

mitigation is the game developer's method to keeping us in the dark... [e digicons]
you want side beams as vas? get flak... [e digicons] Just kidding, as Blair said, it is the races as a whole that is look at. Right now the Vas have the short stick, but the devs are working on it. The last patch has helped out greatly. And your individual playstyle is very important. (find the secret to playing Vas, it is different than the "normal" method of play)
lol! True, - banned for calling me faceless [e digicons];P[/e]
Banned for wearing a halo mask....
Banned for not offering a bowl of ice cream
Welcome to the forums! Are you looking for single player training or multiplayer training? I can aid you in your galactic quests over the AI, but you may want one of the pro players for multiplayer, if they have the time. And are you getting Entrenchement too? It is well worth it! (espectially in easy of learning)

[quote who="lloydbraun74" reply="104" id="2390288"]I like the Advent Rapture capital Ship. When you get to level 6 you can use the Domination ability and convert enemy ships to your own. I just completed a game to test how many ships you could convert and got a fleet size over 6000. I used 16 Rapture capital ships and would go into a battle and convert their entire fleet and destroy what couldn't be converted. I only needed to fleet upgrade enough to be able to create enough initial slots for
Your order is off a bit. You want to go for a culture center first. The Advent get the best culture bonus in the game, and the increase from income pays for itself faster with culture than trade ports. It is also cheaper to implement sooner (econ lvl 2, only one needed for 3+ planets) Once you have 4 planet bodies, then you can go for the trade route, but not before - it isn't cost effective. Your ship build has a hole in it - no strike craft
Name the superpower nations in the 1900's, 1600's, or 1200's? What about 1AD? Are they all still superpowers? The question is slightly off in its premise.... And no, China will not surpass the US if they hold on to their communism. The US is tied so deeply to the Chinese that any detriment to the US will also impact China. Once china goes full capitalist and self sufficient, then the world can start worrying.
Banned for being my uncle....
I like the Juggernaut AI title. That is fitting. I think the Jugg AI should be close to the way most online players play. Super Rusher. The Jugg's should get a colony cap off the start, have 2-3X's resource generation, and build ships 2-3X's faster. This would give SP's a great "training" for eventual advancement into Multiplayer. This AI will need to change strats by the 1 hour mark, however. Jugg's would rush the first hour, then defens
Yes, it was stated that each race gets a new envoy cruiser... but that capital ship... that is news! A new cap could make things interesting for fleet makeup.... *hopes*
I don't think mines would have helped in this case (The opponent has a fleet of scouts...) I like the Z-axis tricks... But there needs to be an easy way to counter it. Allowing Z axis turnig on Starbases is all that needs to happen. Problem solved!!!
I am an Apple spectialist, and use a Windows XP custom built machine at home - talk about a dichotomy in OS levels o.0 I prefer the OS X as the best OS to use, Windows works fine, but must be severely monitored/tweaked to work. So here is a list (only 5...) OS X negatives :( compatibility developer support (lack of) network OS underdeveloped update breakage HD format (diffe
Hmmm..... I think the direct metal, crystal trading is a good idea. Combine that with the OP's ideas, and then balance the random map generator.... that could work. I think many of the trade inbalances could be fixed with a little more map balance. Then a more closed system could be used.
There really isn't a set formula for when the AI will surrender. I find it is usually when their combined used fleet size is only 1/3 of mine, and they only have 3 or fewer planets. But that is on a single star map, multi star maps are different...
