Consider the case in a 3v3 if only one player ends up with a good crystal supply. If he doesn't put it on the black market, no one can buy crystal. The result is that his team can still receive crystal by tribute, while the other team is crippled and unable to utilize their resources effectively. It's unduly unfair, and wouldn't work out in practice.
i thought they were changing the rules for feeding in diplomacy. in addition, i know so many complaints have been made ab
I completely agree. While more information is nice, the current lack really helps us fans when writing in the Sins universe.
yea, except there are like 10 different really good stories which are completely unique and cannot be unified. *sigh* oh, the good old days, when i was into the star wars universe... i'll respond to the rest when i am not so tired
Understandable, though I don't agree. Seems more that you're using raw resources that you don't have. Say you need a dozen pounds of some special metal that you don't have to build a component. You ain't building it until that dozen pounds gets there.
rezonater is right, here. did you know that the paper money you have isnt actually worth anything? its all 0s and 1s now edit: i realized that i really didnt address
And Kol has. Remember when his fighter crashed into the Vasari capital ship? How he had this weird dream where the fire of life and the darkness of death surrounded him on two sides, and some voice spoke to him about his future? Somewhere in the chapter 5-6 range, I think. Don't quote me on that.
i vaguely recall this. thanks

very good, i liked it. you overplayed the whole unidentifiable ship-thing a little, that section could be edited down. but this section was really good. and wasnt it the vasari that worshipped the spirits? or is my memory failing me again. i dont think so. have we seen kol "traverse the World of Visions?" i have a really bad memory

i know the halcyon is good, but i dont think that the skirantra is. it is merely average, IMO. sure, repair cloud is pretty good, but its other abilities offer very little

carriers should have the most? as of now, they are arguably the worst class of ships. unless you mean with deceiver's mod, which gives them 11 sc i think

well, we could just buff hull/shields/armor, and not dps. theoretically, if a good number could be found, this would create capships that are hard to kill (unlike caps now), but are not game changers because they still don't dish out that much damage. but if they were to last longer, it might just be worth it to buy that next capship upgrade
The combat balance questions are another issue- with an expansion focused on diplomacy these might not be a priority and yet they should be. The LRFs are the main problem: I've never understood the logic behind having some of the LRFs take less supply than the basic frigates, as they are higher tier and their weapons would seem need more logistic support. Also Repulsion- the existence of a counter to short range weapons, when it is more usual to have a counter to long range weapons. Th
I make a trade agreement and very often the group I made the agreement with almost immediately drops the agreement
also, trade agreements only give trade bonuses. what you really need for a true alliance is a ceasefire (60-70% allegiance) or a peace treaty (80-90% allegiance). those numbers are rough estimates, but close enough that you get the point.

Its only now that the Vasari and Advent come busting down the door are they fighting. Even then the TEC are united in their cause to survive. Heroic and Noble IMHO. I dont consiter the Advent human. They have progressed far beyond that with their experements and drugs. I guess its all in how you look at it.
they were unit

its not noble . it might be heroic, but its not noble. there is a distinction there. humanity in sins is not connected through anything but trade. and survival, i guess. in supcom, humanity is united . there is something noble in that, that is not found in sins. at least, thats the way i see it. i tend to have odd views on these kind of things. feel free to disagree

or perhaps earth is gone, either destroyed or completely uninhabitable, a la isaac azimov. or people have forgotten that it was humanity's birthplace. truth is, we have no idea, we can only speculate. i would imagine that earth would have no role in any future campaign, based on the tenor of the game. supreme commander, for instance, the UEF is fighting to save humanity. no such noble intentions in this game
