Hello! I have been trying to download the latest release of your mod (great work by the way) from moddb, but the download never starts and the archive I get says that its an unknown format or damaged. Any help? Thanks!
Someone else reported that, but now says they got it to work. Trying downloading it again, I think something was wrong with the Moddb servers.
Ok but since the new update it isn't working as it once had, and yes I have all the DLCs for the game.
This was an intentional change to Truce Amongst Rogues by the developers, according to the changelog . Per number 3 in the original post, there are now more options to define how this behavior works.

I don't know if any still uses an export tool for 3DS max, but this is the Sins modeling tutorial I recommend. It however assumes you will export from 3DS max to XSI so you can use softimage to do the final prep, then use the ConvertXSI tool included with the game. It also goes over how to import a Sins model into 3DS max.

Doesn't look like you can. When the dev.exe was first created, there wasn't enough planet bonuses to fill the entire list. Only the Forbidden Worlds DLC seems to have changed that, and the dev.exe hasn't been updated to make planet bonuses a multimenu selection like some of the other options that have more than 26 results.

Take a map you like and open it in notepad. You can adjust some of the lines to make the travel time/phase lanes smaller without changing the overall properties of the map. You can also set the "phase lane density" of each star. Higher densities mean planets are more likely to have connecting phase lanes, creating more open maps. Honestly I usually make my random maps entirely in notepad. You can open the existing random maps in notepad as well to see their parameters.

It's that time of year again. Sins has been updated to version 1.86, and this time the mod changes are both really small AND really cool! Fortunately this means most mods will probably work without needing to be updated. Gameplay.constants file: No structural changes, but FrigateTECHCarrier has been added to the list of militia ships. Mods that have their own custom rampant militia don't need to worry about this. <sp

It's never been easy I'm afraid. Ever time I've installed it I've needed to hunt down some .dll or .ocx file. Which ones you need depend on what your PC already has, so no one can really make a guide that would work for everyone. As a modder though, I do use it heavily.

That is a very old map, from 2008, which is when the original Sins of a Solar Empire came out. There has been 3 major expansions and several updates to how maps work since then. There is a map converter someone made out there but I do not know how far back it works from.

While they're not standard units, the Enhanced 4X Mod adds three "hero units" to each race. These are basically special capitalships you can only have one of.

Well Dawn of the Reapers would be the likely suspect, as its the main Mass Effect mod for Sins and the only one I know of that was publicly released. You should probably ask them directly. However, this has been happening a lot to many big Sins of a Solar Empire mods. Star Wars, Star Trek, now Mass Effect. The whole not asking before taking assets thing is really hurting the chances of good relations between the Sins and Stellaris modding communities, which is really too bad. This kin
