I think they should cut the reward, and boost the passive income. Or when an ally kills an enemy demigod it infuses everyones passive gold income by a large amount over 30 seconds or so, this would also help teamplay and stop last hitting. I love this idea, seconded a billion times.
Yeah even with best intentions kill "stealing" happens alot, a passive increase for your team does sound a little better than ammount per kill.
Wait what, so mechanics that punish good players are good? How? If you really want something like that, make it so that you can turn it on/off in custom games, but otherwise it's a horrible idea.
I don't think it would "punish" good players. Some games use similar pratices to dissuade players from using very obvious advantages to expliot easy kills. WoW as one example has (or had) dimishing returns on honor gained from kills or elimated honor gained complet
he did. lol He posted a thread showing a screenshot of a chat between him and Frogboy and some other people, and he said something to make Frogboy call him a dumbass. lol I thought that was hiliarious!!!!!! The thread got nuked though. lol Good riddence.
I saw the thread in the window before the mods nuked it. He was funny sometimes, but getting banned it what happens when you deliberately provoke.
I used to play a game called Empire Earth 2, and it had a rating system of points givin and taken for wins and losses. In the lobby you could run your mouse over a persons name and see their rating and how many games played, then you could tell what level of skill they had. Lets say a rated player at 2800 played a 1000 rated plyer if the 2800 won he would get like 10 points and the 1000 player would loose like 150 points. If the 1000 plyr beat the 2800 plyer he would gain 150 and the 2
Ahh yes thats what I'm looking for, Thank you very much.
Ways to achieve victory are, Siege and wipe out all of your enemy's colonized planets. Have them surrender. If you have a peace treaty with another faction, you won't actualy have to wipe them out. Few things to keep in mind, AI basicly never surrenders. AI must allways be at war with someone no matter what.
Quick question, Is there a talent caculator available? I like to be able to experiment a little with some of the demigod's level up points is all.
Is there a diminishing returns on gold payout on # deaths? I haven't paid to much attention but if not then, You could place diminishing returns on gold gained from number of kills on said god or ammount of time alive or whatever. That would stop someone who had a real advantage (hugle lvl diff, spawn camp, ect.) from farming gold off lesser experianced players or even the AI. Say player A has been killed 5+ more times then other players in the matc

Wow, Well I have confidence that you (and by extention Stardock) will weather the torment and headace of a bad release, granted and early or unintended release can spell disaster. But its probably a live and learn experiance as you allready stated. Demigod is a solid game and Stardock delivers on its business model constantly. Even if Demigod doesn't (and may not) perform as well as expectations had intended if Stardock still delivers the game as it
Its allready been said but I will repeat it, Ally Demigod/minon portriats that can be targeted for healing and buffing, makes it easier since you don't have to click then find your target on the play field. If you have no harm/no foul disconnects, (before 3 min) you may want to add a limit to # of games joined per hour. That put a grinding halt on exploitation.
I wouldn't call socialism or communism insults either, but I do find the assumption the capitalism = greed insulting.
My 3 1. Lord of the Rings Tactics, (PSP) terrible, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE tactics game. 2. Advent Rising, (Xbox) Regret getting it becase I really want the sequel. 3. World of Warcraft, (PC) It was fun but I wasted almost 2 years of my life infront of it. Glad I stopped. I managed to avoid Spore, was currious but I guess I'm better off.
1: Neverwinter Nights 2. I LOVED the first series and played it and all the expansions. Something about NWN2 has just not interested me, though.
I have to agree with that.
Hmmm I should get me some of that comcast,.... To bad it hasn't reached me yet

I liked it but a few things made me think, Kirk gets HIS ASS KICKED IN EVERY FIGHT HE IS IN literally. If he is not getting pounded on in the bar, its on the drill, or the deck of the Enterprise, or on the romulan ship, or anywhere really. That man just cannot defend himself in a fistfight. If Spock only needed a small amount of
