The game is great, but this one bug, is really putting me off it.
sounds like its something on your computer not the game. my specs are much lower than yours except i have vista ultimate. i can run fine on the highest setting for maps upto 50-60 planets. then i have to start backing it off. my lag issue was fixed with lastest nvidia driver released last week.

(yawn) the second you change anything on the Sova it unbalances the other races. Keep it the way it is and level up the carrier enough to see the difference. its a nice cap as is. :)

just say NO to SP campaigns. an alternative might be victory condition option. obtain N planets or build X station types. campaigns are fun once...maybe. use your imagination and play a series of maps. give youself goals to obtain etc. thats why they added the achievement stuff. moons sound like a nice idea. maybe each home world has a moon. moons would simply be like weak asteriods adding a few more tac and log slots and a little more income. space stations would be a

there is a ship that does it i think. sorry im still pretty new and don't know specifically which one. the ai has about 20 of them in a map i am playing right now.

against the ai i will trypically build a few turrets to focus on siege ships, and at least two repair bays with everything overlapping. the rest will go into hangers. i have found myself microing the hanger more now. instead of a balanced line-up i will go all fighters to start. this will protect the structures from other strike craft and attack other ships. once the enemy fighters and carriers are gone or weakened i will switch to 1 fighter squad and the rest as bombers. they just

i would like to see more formation options. right now we get loose, standard, and tight. one thing i liked about armada II was the ability to choose the formation that best met the need. so if i wanted a defensive formation it may be different from a bombardment formation. idk probably not that big of a deal since i can just group the ships as i need them before issuing orders.

Seems like AMD is attempting to niche sell back into premium gaming systems like Dell XPS and Alienware amoung others. It will probably have limited success. For now I will chalk this one into the box with Intel VIIV and AMD Live! as disappointing. I would estimate that the vast majority of "gamers" don't buy these systems and prefer to build their own. Cost is less of a motovater to many and the very rare extream gamers that do have $3000 systems are one of two types. 1) they bout

some one mentioned MS Fligh Sim. That was greatness for the time. I play that for a while until I got a copy of Jet Fighter. I would spend hours flying around San Fran is free mode firing missiles at buildings. Go home, land, reload and take off to shoot more buildings. but it couldnt match A-10, where you would fly through missings with one engine half a wing and a missing tail and still make it home. once i got wing commander my favorite missions were against the dessies.

JaeRod I remember Ghostbusters on C64. I remember play that and one of my favorites, Yoshi Samari Bunny (something like that). We played the game so load that it burned up floppy drive and it started smoking. Trashed the game and I didnt have another copy. There were others like PaperBoy and Defender of the Crown. The C64 was the foundation of my computer experience. The first programming I did, the first desktop publishing, the first computer troubleshooting. I could go o

lol nice everyone. lots of good times remembered. i can remember occasions where our JH school was one of the few with a PC computer lab. we had 286's running Windows 2 and they had games like Golf and TicTacToe. by that time i was already playing more computer games than most could name on our screaming fast 386sx/16mhz with a whapping 5mb of ram. so we convinence the teacher to let us bring in games toward the end of school. i come in with a stack of games like wolf3d, battletech, and so

This can be a fun post. To the best of your memory, list the first or first few computer games you can remember playing. They can be PC, Mac, Commodore, w/e. Try to stay away from coin-ops and consols like Atari and Nintendos. True computer games. For me... this is a crazy post. i had the star blazers song stuck in my head all week. +1 to making this mod. a nice follow up would be a robotech mod too. ;)

ive had the game for about 4 days now. i wont venture online until i have seen all the races and am more comfortable managing an empire. but hearing the bashing on online play it doesnt sound like much fun. considering i played st: armada until last week and was happy fighting ai's, then i should be very happy with sins for a long time.
