You know what's funny to me: 1 Vasari capship or 1 Advent capship can heal AoE and 1 Advent capship can increase damage output, but for TEC to do anything, they have to build frigates, and it isn't AoE. That's funny if you ask me. I laugh at TEC. The Vasari empire with pwn your ship-to-ship abilities and lack of good capships.

Stop spamming the forums Haz, one post is enough. BTW, DT would love to do a tournament. However, I think everyone want's to hold out until v1.1 since it will be more stable and HOPEFULLY fix the problems with starting postitions (lack of phase lanes).
If this game did have a campaign, here is what the ending would be like: Version 1: "After fighting the Vasari for 15 years and the Advent for 5 years, all of a sudden you lose contact with your worlds and the enemy and are soon destroyed yourself. Game over." Version 2: "Congratulations, you have conqoured [ENEMY] and your [RACE] can now live in peace. Oh, never mind, the Vasari's enemy is swallowing up worlds and we aren't cap
I think what will be hilarious is when the campaign for this game comes out. Here's the ending: "After fighting the Vasari for 15 years and the Advent for 5 years, all of a sudden all players lose and you don't know how. Game over. The end"
Everyone is in v1.05, or playing SP. Once v1.1, things will get better.
Actually, once v1.1 comes out, you will be REQUIRED to download it to play on ICO. This was true fro v1.04 and 1.05 as well. So yes, once v1.1 is released, the community will be united again. On another note, I am looking forward to playing skilled players again. It gets kindof boring playing the same people over and over again (no offense to anyone, but you get predictable after a while).
The Vasari have a solid economy 5 min into the game. What are you talking about? TEC have to WORK for their economy. The Vasari just have to build scouts (and you do that anyway).
I agreed with Reply #2, with the caviate that sometimes you should upgrade instead of increase fleet supply.
Ok, it's been a week, I expect you back on now. In any event, it's good to hear from you again. We have actually found some decent players to play against, so we aren't doing 3v6's as much as we used to. In fact, we have actually lost 1 or 2 while you were out.
I might, but the rest of my clan is still in v1.05 and will probably stay that way since the new beta kills your key binding settings. In any event, the real v1.1 should be out soon (it is the middle of September), so I might as well just wait for it to come out. I played the first beta, so I already know the tactical strategy that I will want to use (hopefully building flak is now worthwhile though).
Hi Monk, is it possible with a game like Sins to allow players back into the game in the event of a crash or a disconnect if they are gone about a minute. Or is that just not going to happen in this game?
Well, I'm not the monk, but in answer to your question, I suppose it is possible. The problem is that since the game is hosted locally, the game would need to remember the IP address of where the game was and
In v1.1, TEC will be much better, especially since carriers will play a bigger role and the Kol has a pretty awesome flak burst ability.

TEC is better in 1.1 though, not worse.
That's what's I said.
I really like the idea. I will try to add the [C] tag to my [DT] tag. Only problem with this idea is that I will have to redo my friends list all over again. I don't smurf for the specific reason that it messes with the friends list.
The dunov is the only TEC cap ship that can restore health to a ship (each race has one ship that can restore health, amusingly, the dunov's is lame in comparison because it can only heal one ship). If you are playing Go Big or Go Home, having 5 or 6 dunovs is a must because it will keep your cap ship alive that is being focused fired. Two problems I have with the dunov is that it only restores shields and it can't heal itself (unlike the other ships with health restore abilitie
Bump. Hello, has this been resolved? Will v1.1 have the right key mappings for docking the strikecraft?
Where art thou Raging Amish? Did the rest of the Amish community find out that you were using a computer and take it from you, all while beating you with horse whips?
But mine is mysterious...and straight from clip art, so there.[e digicons][/e]
DT will rock you. So says my awesome new avatar. Muhwahaha.
I personally think culture in this game is broken. What I mean by that is that YOU CAN'T win with culture and the bonuses you get aren't all that fantastic. Further more, in the unlikely event you do acutally have culture supremacy, it takes forever to make an enemy planet go to 0% and you don't gain the planet, it just uncolonizes. Every other game I have ever played (which isn't many), when culture goes to 0% the other person gets control. As a side note, I want ev
The problem in v1.05 is that TEC just aren't good late game. As others have mentioned, the Advent fleets are well supported by their capital ships while the TEC capital ships are more "direct". Anyway, you can still win using TEC, you just need to think harder. In v1.1, TEC will be much better, especially since carriers will play a bigger role and the Kol has a pretty awesome flak burst ability.
Sounds like the connection down under stinks. In any event, what actually happens is that you will get dropped from the game and the AI will take over for you. So you may just want to try it to see if it works. Besides, what do you have to loose? There's no ranking system. If you have repeated problems, then go back to comp stomping.
Speaking of that thread, I need to update my spreadsheet on that post.
Well, since you know about the forums, you are ahead of 99% of the noobs out there. There are multiple posts in the strategy section on how to play and how to play well. I first suggest you play the tutorials and then play a little bit. If you are having trouble, try searching the strategy section of the forums, some people have put a lot of effort in on some of their threads, particularly Raging Amish. Good luck to you.
Honestly, I would suggest MP for you. Not all the maps are rush maps, it depends on how many players and how big the map is. Most maps don't have many strategic choke points, so if you find one, you defiantely take advantage of it. I would honestly suggest you fix your connection problem and try MP, I think you will find it very exciting. To me, taking the time to build a massive fleet isn't nearly as fun as strugling to survive. Oh, and flak work fine fo
Unless I hear otherwise from the post originator, judging by his questions and his name, this thread is actually a spoof of all the kinds of questions noobs generally ask and was meant as a joke.
