he posted above your post, dude
Did I mention I was legally blind? Shalom, send your whole checksum folder to Blair.

Blair, we just had a game with v1.12 and it had a desync. JohnJames is sending you the logs via e-mail. The person it desynced with is shalom_don.(de) Please hunt this guy down. We couldn't get him to hang around long enough to explain to him that you need his files.
This thread needs locked. It's about some guy who keeps replying to his OP, even though he could just edit the OP. Instead, he feels like flaming on this site. If this guy ACTUALLY wanted to know how to deal with carrier spam, there are several other good posts on this forum.
Blair, can you post an EXE version of this for some of the people who don't know the RAR format? Thanks
I guess it depends if they played me before and knew it was coming or not. The noobs go crazy, the experienced people take the raping a little more gracefully.
HowDidYouDoThat
BTW Blair, my ingame name is Howthe? Seeing the problems we had with the desync bug, I think the name is appropriate (it is also the appropriate response for those on the receiving end of my game play).
Yes, I can turn off sync checker now.
Wow, who would have ever thunk it? Kicks butt this thing has been tracked down. Like you said blair, let's hope it was the only one.
When I was the host of the game below, we eventually were out of sync, but I didn't get the red text even though I had sync checking on. Here is the excerpt from my user settings: CalculateCheckSumTickFrequency 50 CalculateCheckSumDetail 0 SaveCheckSumSnapShotsInGameTickFrequency 0 SaveCheckSumSnapShotsOnSave TRUE IsCheckSumLoggingOn FALSE Here are the files: http:/
I am pretty sure this is about the 5th thread on this. 6 days later and it still doesn't work. It is the most perplexing issue ever, considering changing versions shouldn't affect anything on the server side. Perhaps one could hope that with v1.1, there are SO MANY people wanting to play online now that it is overloading the servers. One could hope...
It's a long....story. In short, you start playing the same game, but by 30 min in, you realize you both own the same planets.
Here is the desync log. I was not the host, and was the only one with the logging enabled, but here is the file. As you can tell, it happened 0min in to the game: http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/7/2039910/SyncError-Tick311-Player1.txt Apparently this guy is awesome at desyncing, Teratan desynced in this game as well: <a href="http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/7/2039910/SyncError
Annatar, I would like to invite you online. We have a 4v4 and we need another person to join us.
Replays are hosed up in v1.11. See my forum post: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/330830
Ok, ICO is back up.
Take a look at the replay: http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/8/7/2039910/AutoRecord-11221149.record According to the replay, no one expanded beyond their first planet and no battles occured. I can tell you there was plenty of carnage in that game.
Yeah, you should have seen my reaction in ally chat when the game started and I realized none of us were Vasari..I wasn't paying attention I was whispering someone when we launched. If I had realized, I would have been Vasari.
I am watching the replay right now. Your reaction was classic.
I never noticed it before since I don't watch replays much, but in the game where we just played, I am watching through your eyes and it looks like I never did a thing. So yeah, the replays are totally hosed up. EDIT: Actually it looks like NO ONE is doing anything. The replays are completed stupid now. 2nd EDIT: The retarded replay can be seen here: http:/
It's not you. It's Ironclad.
Yeah, this is happening way to frequently.
That map was loaded with neutrals. Being the only Vasari pretty much garunteed our victory.
Multiplayer (ICO) is down again. This has to be the 5th or 6th time in just 3 days. We need to completely replace the hamsters powering the server farm.
Thanks for the update. Looks like v1.1 lasted all of 2 days.
Looking forward to it. I am still waiting for "fight the Developers" day.
I'm with Cykur on this one. Hack and I called this a while back. Devs vs DT! or just anything, I just want to do some dev stomping [e digicons][/e]
Don't worry, this thread will be locked too... I am just disappointed that they had a seperate beta from the beta that had extra sync checking and the desync bugs should have been fixed, yet they aren't. Anyway, I view the impulse problems as small as compared to wasting an hour of your life playing a game and at the end realize you both won because you got desynced 2 minutes into the game. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] I suppose I am not that pessimistic though because
